Pros:

The room features old-fashioned murals in a classical style. The foyer staff are generally friendly.

Cons:

Bottled water wasn't provided in the rooms, so we asked the doorman for a kettle to boil water; the water had a slight calcium deposit. The air conditioner was old, the toilet was cramped, and the bathroom floor tiles were prone to leaks and slippery, posing a risk of falling. Staying on the first floor requires carrying luggage, as the elevator doesn't go there.

Friendly staff and hotel was perfectly fine for the price. The bed was bit too hard for my liking.
Pros:

Breakfast was simple and fine. Good Coffee machine and nice pastries

Cons:

Lots of stairs, but here is a lift (very slow). I was facing out on to the square and it was very noisy with people and some anti social behaviour, which was a bit off putting

The Staff are great... Friendly, helpful, and a shout out to Michael, who is an absolute diamond..

Cons:

I've read other reviews complaining about things at this Hotel.. Ignore them, and remember just two things!... It's an old building, and it's Palermo!...So don't complain, embrace!..Yes, you wouldn't want to get in the lift with a cat, cos you ain't gonna swing it!...But that's the beauty of this place... AND location is everything, close to bars and restaurants, and the old town easily walkable... enjoy

Πολύ ευγενικό και κατατοπιστικό το προσωπικό τέλεια τοποθεσία και το κυριότερο βρήκαμε παρκινγκ λίγα μέτρα από το ξενοδοχείο δωρεάν και έχει πολύ καλά εστιατόρια στην περιοχή

Die Lage war super! Das Personal war nett. Die Klimaanlage hat funktioniert.

Cons:

Das Badezimmer hat stark nach Abschluss gerochen. Alles war voller Kalk. Die Dusche war viel zu klein, eine Drehung ohne die Wand zu berühren war nicht möglich.

They need to address the odour problems and do proper maintenance.

Cons:

We (my partner and I and another couple who are friends) had rooms 201 and 202. There was an awful odour in both rooms, but in 201 it was particularly bad. The cleaning staff can’t have not known about it! The air conditioning in 201 was noisy (sounded like a jet engine). The aircon in room 202 barely worked, and the shower tap needs fixing. The bed in 201 had a great dip in the middle; the one in 201 was rock hard. Such a shame, because if these things were addressed, it would have been a nice hotel.

Cons:

We had 2 rooms for 2 couples and checked in late for our stay . On a 90+ degree day, NEITHER air conditioning unit worked. We complained to the management and were told that they would switch our rooms the next day, which they did. However we sweltered through that first night. The “mini-bar”, an empty refrigerator, had some mold inside which we had to clean out.
