Best choice in the area.
Pros:

The hotel was the best one I stayed at of all of the hotels in the immediate area. Parking was no problem, breakfast was legitimate, and it was pretty clean.

The La Quinta Inn in Radford VA was clean but uncomfortable.
Pros:

Clean, affordable complimentary breakfast and staff were excellent

Cons:

Beds were not comfortable, the shampoo/conditioner bottles were empty ( complimentary) and breakfast was only available if you were an early riser

A different experience from previous visits
Pros:

We've stayed here multiple times with little to no issues over the last year.

On arrival, I wasn't welcomed and was accused of being a guest who gave a bad review to a 3rd party booking website. It was not me. It was inappropriate to share that guest's name. All customers should be greeted and treated well no matter if it was me or not.

I did pre-check in, but still had to provide license and incidental card in person after submitting online. I'm not sure why this is done x2 and what the benefit of checking in online is.

There was no mattress on pull out couch nor any bedding for it. The hotel staff did bring sheets to cover top of couch.

I was called at 8a on checkout day to immediately come to front desk. I thought this was early. There was a misunderstanding as we booked using points. I asked while at desk and upon checkout if anything was owed. I was assured zero balance. I requested a receipt and told not necessary. I was then charged $15 later in the day. I called to inquire and told it was a pet fee. I was told I should have been told at check in which I was not. I said I should also have been informed when I asked twice being told zero balance. I have not paid a pet fee previously. I was told under new management and new rule. I didn't consent to this charge.

My husband noticed the breakfast area wasn't as clean as it has been in the past. There used to be a wonderful employee, but we didn't see her on this visit.

The housekeeping staff were friendly.

We will be looking elsewhere on future visits to town.

Nice but only gave comments so might could fix them. Because the staff was so amazing.
Pros:

The staff was so nice, I would stay again. The cleaning could be done a little better. Newly renovated but you could see dust on the walls. But the bed was clean and the showers could use a deep clean. But the staff was super friendly.

Cons:

Walls seemed thin so it seemed loud sometimes with people talking the room beside us and people in the hallway. Which is normal activity and movement.
