The hotel was close to Hyde Park.
Close to the tube and restaurants.
Staff were pleasant.
The bar area was very opulent.
Reasonable price for a London room with breakfast.
Reception was very dark and uninviting.
The room was small and tired. We looked out onto the back of the building at overflowing bins.
A lot of customers at breakfast and not enough staff.
Crammed in breakfast tables.
I got locked in the bathroom. Luckily my husband managed to get me out from the outside.
One of the lifts wasn’t working.

Très bel établissement, charme incomparable d'une demeure historique. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié. Quartier contre Hyde park très calme. A proximité de toutes les lignes de métro. Multiples restau sympa aux alentours. On y reviendra sans hésiter !
Chambre et salle de bain minuscules mais confortable. Café du petit déjeuner mériterait d'être plus corsé, en tout cas pour un français !
Ein schönes im alten englischen Stil gehaltenes Hotel. Genau was wir uns gewünscht haben!
Alte englische Möbel, dunkle vertäfelte Wände, tolles Treppenhaus und ein bildschöner Frühstücksraum.
Die Zimmer waren leider sehr klein und die Einrichtung hat definitiv bessere Zeiten erlebt.
Was jedoch wirklich gestört hat sind die undichten Fenster. Hier zog es durch und somit war es immer frisch im Zimmer. Zur Entschuldigung des Hotels ist aber zu sagen, dass die Fenster wohl noch aus der Gründungszeit des Hotels sind. Und alt ist eben nun mal undicht. Durch eine hervorragende Klimaanlage war die Temperatur sehr gut zu regulieren.

Min zu Fuß, ebenso der Hyde Park und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten/Restaurants. Frühstück englisch und kontinental, aber ohne Abwechslung. Personal freundlich.
Insgesamt etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Was in den öffentlichen Bereichen noch als nostalgisch oder charmant angesehen werden kann, ist in der Zimmern eher als renovierungsbedürftig anzusehen.

The staff were so helpful upon greating. We had a free upgrade when we arrived. The hotel is beautiful with all the decor. The breakfast was delicious. The spot was perfect, close walk to the tube station. Was lovely. Will stay again.

We liked the location, the lobby, the building itself, the breakfast and the staff.
We didn’t like the room. For what we paid, it was a very small room, very old, the leather from the bed was ripped off, the wood frame of the bed was scratched, the heating system didn’t work and the bathroom was too small to even fit in it.
Furthermore, we didn’t have any phone battery and we had an urgent situation to solve. We kindly asked the receptionist to loan us a charger and will give it back after a few hours and he refused saying that we can only charge it if the phone stays at the reception.
At breakfast there was ALWAYS a queue, and it was uncomfortable to wait up to 30 mins in the morning just to eat the food we paid for in advance.
Overall we had a bad experience and do not recommend.
