Nothing fancy, just clean, comfortable, helpful staff and wonderful location. Walked from train station and to all of the sites. It’s very old school, which is my preference. The complimentary breakfast is at a sweet cafe around the corner. Loved it! There isn’t a big lobby/common area but we were out being tourists daylight til after dark so it didn’t matter to us.
This is a hotel with a great location… this is the up point. Don’t expect great facilities, average but really worth the location and the focus of the trip. The only bad thing was the bed… If the hotel can improve this it’s a superstar!,,,
Hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, accommodations were great. Location was in an area that was very walkable and attractions were close by. I would recommend staying here if you are in the Florence area.
近くにレストランが沢山あり便利でした。スタッフも親切でよかったです。
My daughter and I were pleasantly surprised with the hotel! We were warmly greeted and kindly treated. The location was superb! It’s in walking distance to many of the points of interests that brought us to Florence. We liked the hotel so much that we kept extending our stay. The train station and the underground are in walking distance for our day trips. We appreciated the artwork in the rooms. Grateful for the lift there when dealing with luggage. We felt safe and secure. The people at the front desk provided helpful advice. The only thing is that I wish the air conditioner worked better. I’d definitely would return to Florence and stay here again. It couldn’t happen soon enough! Eileen
Es muy céntrico, fácil de llegar. Es pequeño pero está limpio. Todo queda cerca, los mayores atractivos de la ciudad y está en una zona segura
Hotel was a little tired and could do with some renovations, however it was clean and comfortable in the room and close to restaurants and railway station was a good point.
The pictures of the hotel are very misleading. The rooms my group and I stayed in are run down and in need of serious renovation. The room's electrical sockets in the wall were loose and didn’t work. None of the minibar fridges worked.
The windows in the bathroom were missing curtains, and the window glass is not one-way.
And, in room 35, the sink plumbing was held together with duct tape.
It was an unpleasant experience for my entire group. It certainly wasn't worth the 3-star hotel price. We will not be returning there ever again.
The hotel room pictures on Expedia are misleading to what the rooms actually look like. Very small and need to be update. Convenient location but I would not recommend. Mold was growing in the shower. Air conditioning didn’t work.
This accomodation is well located, about 7-10 minutes walking distance from Santa Maria di Novella train station. It's a historical building so the lift only fits for two or three people, otherwise you have to go up the spiral stairs. We stayed here from June 9-11 and were pleasantly greeted by Vincent on reception(third floor of the building), who also showed us our quadruple room; it looked right into busy Via Panzani, but no noise bothered us from outside and we had peace and quiet on our sleep. This room is ideal for families because it has two bedrooms so it gives couples some privacy. Our teens had two twins and here comes the weird configuration: although the toilet and bathroom sink was situated right in the middle of both bedrooms, you had to walk into the twin bedroom in order to get into the shower, thankfully the shower was comfortable and toiletries were decent so for two nights we did'nt mind that much. Our fare also included basic breakfast and dinner at two nearby restaurants only a few meters from the hotel. From 7pm, reception is closed so the only way you could get inside is by entering a code. We felt safe and secured the entire stay, rooms were dated but clean and location couldn't be better, everything was at walking distance: shops, restaurants, Santa Maria dei Fiore Cathedral, Galleria della Accademia, Ponte Vecchio, and even the bus stop for Pisa tours.
It’s a budget hotel than can improve a lot in the service area. Check in desk closes at 8:30 pm so if you arrive later even though someone will meet you there to give you your room key, there will be no information on breakfast cost, hours or any special request you may have. The air conditioner never worked properly so we had to open the windows which means all the noise from the street traffic and people walking were heard. The beds are SUPER FIRM and the bathrooms are very tiny and uncomfortable.
Good location.
Negatives:
Had to request at least twice for towels as none was provided, same for shower gel.
Bathroom was overlooked by an apartment with no curtain to fully cover the bathroom window. We had to put a towel up to cover the window.
O booked a quadruple room in this hotel for october for one night for 3 people. The price was 103€.
They send me an e-mail through booking asking me to cancel the reservation (without any reason) and when I didn’t accepted they cancelled themselves the reservation claiming my credit card was invalid (which is not true - I’ve talk to my bank and they told me only one hotel “took” the amount necessary and that hotel was in bologna.).
When I go now to booking, the hotel has the same room available for the same night and same number of people for 149€.
I was reading a few comments from tripadvisor and this is not the first time they do this to a client.
Seems all they care about is money, and are happy to lie and scam their guests.
Good location but air conditioning was not working and uncomfortable rooms in heat. Good location and customer service otherwise
To start off, the hotel has no lobby. You have to carry your luggage up stairs. The check in process takes a long time and is very confusing. The rooms have mold on the ceilings and the air condition is very very weak!!!!! After I complained about the mold the representative came to look and he just shrugged it off and said, that's not mold and left. Then the next day they cleaned our room and painted over the mold. just a awful experience.
The property is located not far away from station and close to the Duomo in the center. The hotel is on the 3 floor I guess. So, have to take a tiny lift up. We had small luggages. So was ok. Check in was easy. Very friendly and helpful front office staff. Room was nice and clean, vintage style with terracota tiles. So, it was perfect floor for the summer heat. Bathroom was clean and enough amenities. The shower-head was a fixed one above your head. I would have liked to take in my hand and shower. The airconditioning was struggling a bit, but ok to sleep. The beds were really comfortable. The only bad thing about our room was, that the door was not easy to lock or close. I hope they fix it soon. We did not bother to say about it during checkout since we stayed only one night. Paulo during checkout was nice and friendly guy. Breakfast was nice.
This hotel is literally less than 5 minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella train station which is a bonus. Then as you walk in a few flights of stairs, an old fashioned lift takes you to the 3rd floor where the Reception is. The check-in was relatively easy apart from being mistaken as a Singaporean guest first - which we found amusing. The room is a good size as well as the bathroom. As there's no overnight staff, we were provided with keys & lock codes for the evening. Overall, it's clean, conveniently located and with helpful staff.
I spent one night with family and it was a good experience. Staff helped with the parking arrangements and helped with maps and tips. It's a 3-star hotel that delivers on its promise. I'd stay there again
Hotel grazioso, molto vicino al centro. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Personale cortese e disponibile.
