Lovely features, beautiful wooden staircase, room spacious and very comfy bed.
Beautiful character building with period features and lovely gardens. Large carpark and lovely and quiet surroundings.
The bathroom was quite dirty, the cold tap had brown/mould residue so was reluctant to use it. The rooms are in need a some TLC.
Our room was larger than we expected and they were good enough to give us a room with disabled access, as requested. The breakfast was extremely good.
Nice
Nice
Decent room, average shower, comfortable bed.
Very expensive drinks, and food was limited in the bar.
Room and view was lovely
Didn't like reception desk in the bar area and bar was small
we were up graded without asking to a larger room. we liked having a bath. Breakfast was good
room was too warm but UK was experiencing a heat wave. Except at the start breakfast items ran out. struggled to open milk sachets without spilling.
Laid back , but attentive and friendly. Dog friendly . Great value for money .
Drinks were expensive and menu limited
The staff very pleasent and help full
Dust ,grubby hand peints on doors in need of repairs
and the stairs were a killer for me
Shower in bath no handrails ,The bannister on main stairs so dusty l coild write in it although the carving is very inticate just a general feeling it is run down
Location
Nothing
The convenience of location. The room was as expected. Compact but comfortable. Delighted to find a bath as my wife doesn't really like showers.
Why oh why are 'compact' rooms listed as doubles? This is most hotels sadly. One chair (2 people don't forget). They are single rooms with a double bed! Why on earth does Accor think that 1 normal tea bag, 1 decaff tea bag, 1 bag herbal tea, 1 sachet normal coffee and 1 sachet of decaff coffee for 2 people ( who incidentally don't drink decaff anything as we actually have taste buds) is suitably adequate for guests? Come on, have a go at thinking it through.
.
Buliding and staff were great
Room wasn't the cleanest. Air con would have helped
Period hotel great parking good location rooms good size beds comfortable and facilities in room good , iron ironing board , fans etc
Some rooms could do with a refurb, looked a bit tired. Also would benefit from some air conditioning units as it was uncomfortably hot the weekend we stayed. Also difficult to move luggage around to second floor as lift only took to first floor, so could be a bit challenging for some people.
The hotel is a beautiful building and a good location. The staff are friendly and responsive.
The hotel unfortunately is very tired. It needs an upgrade. More needs to be done to raise the standard of the cleaning for the whole building.
Everything
Drinks a bit over price but rest ok
