It was very unclean, dust on lampshades, hair on bathroom sink. Pillows and covers not changed from last customers. Smelt funny
Good size room in good condition
Walls are very thin i could hear next rooms very clearly
Handy location.
The building is run down and smells of damp. Room furniture old and damaged. There was no hot water in our room in the morning, the man on reception said he had tried but could not fix it. No apology.
The photo is very flattering, we expected an elegant country house feel. Most of the rooms are in big travelogue-style extensions, with lower standards of upkeep. Very few staff, reception and bar left unattended for much of the evening. This has seen better days. Was quite cheap though!
A lively stay
Will visit again
Better than premier inn
A long wall to room on second floor
Cheap and a little cheerful
Very run down - hence the price
Comfortable bed
Looks tired now
Good location, nice surroundings, everything you would want for a stay.

Looking tired and neglected
The receptionist was the perfect balance of polite, friendly and welcoming without being over the top. Nice room with no disturbance from other guests. Lovely, well stocked breakfast.
We had a view over to the busy road. The room was in the nasty 1960s monstrosity section of the hotel but it was still nicely furnished and pleasant on the inside!
It was clean, warm and welcoming

The property is nice and worldly
The rooms are getting very tired and dated
The warmth. Central heating was on and working and my car was not stolen.
Dirty room, kept seeing little flies it looked like they hadn't vacuumed for 2 weeks and the carpet is from 1930's. It was a double room for 2 and they only had towels for 1 and the room was disgusting staff said it was the last room and I was over 120 miles from home on pre booked hotel with a 4 star rating. £17.50 for a double whisky to attempt to drown my sorrows to sleep in this pit. Outside is Grand inside in bland.
The room was warm and welcoming.
There was bags of rubbish all over and there were chicken bones on the landing
