Overall the hotel was pleasant to stay in
The heating in the bathroom didn’t turn off
The staff.
The boiling hot water in the bathroom . The lack of a fuse in the bathroom radiator
The lack of the promised birthday welcome note in the room.
The room security card that didn’t work once without taking it back to front desk.
The lack of the advertised 8 acres of grounds
The restaurant menu where 50% of the main meals comprised of burgers
It looks like a nice building from the outside
The property is in need of renovation and a deep clean. The carpets are worn and filthy, there’s mould, dirt and dead flies around the window.

I loved the hotel
Very old, dated and cracked walls. Poor, shabby
None of the bedroom’s windows opened!! No fans either.
Friendly staff, who try to access your needs to the best of their ability
It’s quite dated and the bed was quite hard, I prefer a slightly softer mattress

Hotel is filthy. Everything worn out and dirty. Rooms not cleaned properly. Used false eyelashes left in soap holder in bathroom. Floors and carpets filthy. Doesn’t look like the hotel has seen a paintbrush or any love since the 70s

The reception staff were very helpful, the room was clean and tidy but no AC but there was a fan. The corridor carpets are very tired and need replacing which actually spoils the overall quality of the hotel. Bar closed at midnight which was unusual and the bar staff , obviously very tired, it was the night of the England vs Norway match were a bit grumpy and not very helpful, banging glasses and bottles down unnecessarily and there were not guests being awkward or too loud so not sure why they were being like that!! Great hotel and will stay again
