Staff are friendly and very accommodating. It's clean and comfortable. Relaxing experience and good value.
The radiator in the room was stuck on full heat with no way to turn it down, but honestly wasn't worth mentioning once I had the window open and the temperature normalised.
Breakfast was good, staff were brilliant.
Bed was on wheels.
The original building is full of character there are two extension we were in the newest we had a spacious room and a good size bathroom the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and cooked to order and served in the dining room in the original building. The staff were very helpful and friendly
The day to day cleaning was very good but the hotel is a little tired and could maybe do with a bit of tlc and a deep clean in public areas
The location, the first room for 2 nights was an upgrade and very good. BUT the staff made stay excellent. They are so friendly and nothing was to much trouble. They were brilliant. We stayed 2 nights then left and came back 2 days later. They were so helpful and professional. Was a lovely surprise
Nothing really just the decor especially in wing we stayed in on the second visit could have been better. Cracked walls and paint work tired and old
There has been great improvement since my last stay in December 2025. The room I was allocated was recently renovated and the facilities were excellent. The Reception Staff were very helpful and gave additional guidance on places to visit.
There wasn’t much not to like. The only recommendations I would give is to improve the external lighting, especially in the car parks.
The location
To say it was tired is an understatement. Had a dreadful experience at breakfast . Staff could do either more customer service training. The plumbing was so strange we had no idea what they were trying to achieve.
Location
Very dated and room had an old smell to it,
The spacious grounds
No drinking condiments in my room I had to find a member of staff
Only 1 towel
Clean linens
Reception area dank and dull
Comfy bed
Lovely shower
The room was comfortable and the bed was good, our room was quiet
The hotel was too hot overall, we had to open the window and turn off the heating. The bins weren't emptied and the carpets were stained with red wine. Along the hallway part of the carpet had been ripped and became a trip hazard.
