Anantara New York Palace Budapest - A Leading Hotel of the World

Breakfast service for hotel guests is horrible. We arrived at 9am and there were no tables available downstairs where the buffet is. So we were sat upstairs being reassured that there us a waiter service who will assist us so that we don't have to run the stairs up and down. Instead, we had to wait for the waiter before placing the order. We received the tea ordered but without the tea cups, and had to wait for these for another 15mins after asking. Meanwhile waiters passessed by without noticing or caring that they served tea which the clients are unable to drink. We then had to go downstairs to take food from the buffet table, and every time we walked down to do this, the ladies doing breakfast check-in stopped us, asking the room number, despite having checked us in just a moment ago. Last time, when we replied for the third time that we are hotel guests and already checked in for breakfast and seating at the upper floor where there is no service, they also accused us that we sat at the table without checking in! Very long waiting time for anything you ask for and waiters not around to call when you need something and not coming and checking if you need anything unless you call them if you are lucky enough to spot them. Not recommended for breakfast unless you have plenty of time and patience...

Fantastic and opulent hotel. With beautiful decor to fantastic service. The hotel is situated in the middle of the ‘peat’ side of Budapest, with easy access to all areas. Transportation is easy to catch due to the metro and bus system. Alternatively, walking is also an easy option. The breakfast is really good, with a wide variety and very good service. The Staff are friendly and nothing is too much for them. A great hotel and a recommended place to stay if in Budapest.

We enjoyed our dining experience at the White Salon. The service is exceptional. Each staff member we interacted with, particularly our server Hedrig, wanted to make sure we were enjoying our meal and that our expectations were met. The restaurant is decorated in a Baroque style, and we appreciated the live musicians playing classical music. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Plenty of options for vegans, as well.

Everything, location, comfort, new York cafe

We were absolutely blown away at the caliber of service at this hotel and how every single one of the staff went above and beyond. We received a room upgrade to a huge spacious junior suite. Everything about our stay was A++++.

The hotel was exceptionally comfortable and the staff very attentive. It is a beautiful building.

We just got back from the most magical stay at the Anantara New York Palace Budapest and I'm still thinking about it. Walking through those doors for the first time genuinely took our breath away, the architecture and interiors are pure elegance. Every staff member made us feel like family, so warm and attentive. Our room was spacious and beautifully finished. Dining was a true highlight, with spectacular meals at both the NYC Café and the White Salon. Exploring Budapest from such a central spot made everything easy. We'll be dreaming about this trip for a long time.
