Anantara New York Palace Budapest - A Leading Hotel of the World

The hotel is stunning. The New York Cafe really is beautiful - epitomizing the Belle Epoque era. We loved our rooms - we were upgraded to a junior suite and we paid the upcharge to upgrade my parents' room too. Theirs was impressive - with a grand bathroom that my mother especially appreciated. However, street noise was very noticeable even late into the night.

The location isn't as nice as I would have preferred but not bad. It wasn't as central and the surrounding area was less upscale than expected.

Marton at the front desk, and the chef Zoli at the egg station, were excellent - friendly, warm, and very helpful. I think the housekeeping staff was friendly too and did a good job.

They were the exceptions, however. I didn't find most of the staff to be very welcoming, accommodating, or genuinely warm. The front desk at the initial check-in did not make me feel that welcome, the porters (except for one) in general barely greet you, and the New York cafe breakfast staff is not that attentive. In one case, one of the assistant servers was surly when she gave us the wrong order and had to go back to get the correct one. We have stayed at several five-star hotels this year, and the service was impeccable at all except for this one.

We spent 2 weeks in the region and stayed here for 4 nights. The room was very spacious, especially the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, although the room we had was subjected to the tram. Staff was attentive and it's a beautiful hotel. Breakfast was pretty standard hotel buffet. No complaints about our stay

Fabulous hotel. Fantastic choice of breakfast in such an amazing place. Marcell was our waiter and he was excellent and extremely attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for him.

We could not rate this hotel higher although we’d love to! From the moment we stepped into the exquisite foyer we were overwhelmed. To say the decor is gorgeous is an understatement. Beautiful public areas and superbly appointed rooms make this an experience we’ll never forget. Yes the tariff is high end but it’s worth it to spoil yourself in what we consider Europe’s loveliest city.
What sets this hotel apart from other fine establishments is the staff. They are trained to be charming deferential and efficient and nothing is a bother. We’d particularly like to commend Daniel in the bar whose skill and manner are world class, Andrew who delivered late night room service and Zsolte in the breakfast room however all staff were outstanding and you have made our trip to Hungary the highlight of our 6 weeks Europe trip.

Great location, beautiful hotel and rooms, well decorated and lovely staff. The breakfast was very good, with lots of options. The location was also great, being very close to the city centre, and a short walk away from main places of interest.

We liked the architecture and the history and NY cafe

Anantara New York Palace Budapest is a beautiful hotel with impressive architecture and a very elegant atmosphere. The historic building and interiors create a unique setting, especially in the famous café where breakfast is served.
Breakfast and lunch were excellent, with a wide selection and the option to enjoy local Hungarian wines, which added a nice touch to the experience. Service throughout the hotel was professional and attentive.
Rooms were comfortable, although some areas of the interior feel slightly dated. The indoor spa is pleasant but on the smaller side compared to the overall scale of the hotel.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay with standout dining and stunning surroundings.

What an incredible experience. We stayed here during our honeymoon and could not have wished for a better hotel.

The location is perfect for exploring Budapest, while the hotel itself is absolutely stunning. The building, atmosphere and overall level of luxury make it a special place to stay.

The breakfast deserves a special mention. The selection is extensive, the quality is excellent and every morning felt like a treat.

What impressed us most was the service. The staff is genuinely friendly, attentive and always willing to help. During our stay we experienced a small leak in the bathroom. The hotel immediately resolved the issue and even provided us with a complimentary room upgrade, which was greatly appreciated.

We also encountered some inconvenience due to a large wedding taking place at the hotel. While these things can happen, the way the management handled the situation was exemplary. They listened carefully, communicated professionally and came up with a fair solution. This showed us that guest satisfaction is not just a slogan here, but something they truly care about.

The entire team consistently demonstrated a willingness to think along with their guests and find solutions wherever possible. That level of customer focus is rare and deserves recognition.

Beautiful hotel, fantastic breakfast, outstanding service and a management team that genuinely puts the guest first. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest.
