Établissement exceptionnel
Pros:

Établissement de très haute qualité. Personnel agréable et réactif. A proximité d'un parc boisé exceptionnel avec accès illimité au lac d'eau thermale et jacuzzi. Excellent petit-déjeuner et restaurant gastronomique extraordinaire.

Cons:

Very outdated! Rooms are old, really old. Gym is a joke - no AC, super hot, dirty mats, no towels. Service at the restaurant is extremely slow, slow to a point you don’t want your food anymore.

How do you describe beauty in words?
Pros:

What didn't we like? We loved it all. Everything you've heard or read about is true. Please go and experience it for yourself.

Walking location to all of Furnas. Walking to Caldera's, nearby parks, nearby restaurants, stores, etc etc. Great location to use as a base to explore the region in a car.

The gardens here are magnificent, but that word is somehow less descriptive than what they actually are. We used the pool and hot spring tubs after hours and after the crowds had left.

Cons:

The only small complaint I can think of was something the resort has no control over, and that would be entering into the parking lot. The gate where you get buzzed in is very close to the road.

Like all cities we went to in the Azores, older cities have cars everywhere and no where to put them so having a place to park your car next to the hotel is worth it.

The gardens are amazing. The hotel is dated and the dining room is stuffy. It took 2 hours to get through dinner there. Slow, expensive and mediocre .

A MUST STAY hotel. Magical scent!
Pros:

The hotel is located right inside a wonderful botanical garden, with a big natural thermal pool and 2 thermal jacuzzis. The guests have 24/7 access to the garden, which means that after it closes to the public (around 5-5:30 pm), you have exclusive access to the garden. Guests are provided with ultra-comfortable bathrobes and towels to be used in the thermal pools.
Excellent breakfast buffet, with several options; the dining room is right in the middle of the garden.
Very attentive staff, making your stay extremely pleasant. Room was spacious, facing the garden, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We did not use the spa services, but they seemed amazing.
The hotel is located in the heart of the city of Furnas, with easy access to all attractions nearby. Parking on site, included in the room rate.
The ultimate detail: upon entering the hotel, you will inhale a magical scent that permeates throughout the whole place, which made me want to stay there forever...
Staying at this hotel is a MUST and makes all the difference if you are visiting Furnas.

Cons:

Some things that should be immediately improved to provide guests with a better experience:

1. The hotel only has ONE flat iron & ironing board. You have to use it and call the reception immediately after so they can pick it up;
2. No hairdryer in the room.

These two items are a minimum at this price point hotel.

3. The sushi restaurant menu is very limited, and everything tasted very bland. Too pricey for that. I recognize that you might not have a wide variety of fish in the area, but a good sushi chef would be able to make it up by working with different sauces, spices, and seasonings, which could enhance flavors and create a better dining experience.

Beautiful property and wonderful service.
Pros:

This was a really nice hotel on a beautiful property. Staying here gets you 24 hr access to the grounds and hot springs. I would definitely recommend staying here.
The breakfast was really good but skip the restaurant for dinner. It was overpriced and not very good.
