We loved our stay at Hotel Sorrento City and would highly recommend staying here.
Pros:

Centrally located to public transport, restaurants and activities. Great selection for Breakfast and it was delicious. Staff were guest focused and helpful, especially the breakfast crew and the lovely housekeeper Rosie. She was always ready to assist in a friendly manner.

Great hotel in the centre of town with friendly staff, good breakfast, nice rooms, wi-fi - recommend
Pros:

The staff were lovely and friendly and helped us with any queries including directions on getting to the port (google only gave us the option of climbing down lots of steps). The room was clean and had everything we needed including a coffee maker and capsules. We had a room with a small balcony overlooking the ground floor garden which was great for eating our meals al fresco, and smoking was allowed which was handy because I smoke The location was excellent - right in the centre of town and close to everything - although it has a small shopfront which we walked right past the first time but found when we backtracked. The breakfast was lovely and had a good selection of dishes. We didn't get to see the rooftop terrace because it is only open at night. The free wi-fi was handy for my 18 year old grandson.

Cons:

I would have liked to access the rooftop terrace during the day.
