Very well located for shops and restaurants in Frenchtown. Nice colonial style hotel. Cosy bar(when open). Friendly staff (when they are around).
All rooms are on second and third floors with steep stairs and no elevator (not practical in a historic property). Restaurant closed Mondays and rooms not serviced on that day too. Some deficiencies in the rooms such as lack of grab handles in the shower/bath and no drinking glasses or cups.
Good size, clean room in a restored old building. Great location in Frenchtown.
Rooms have been updated to some extent but some simple amenities lacking; e.g. no coffee in the room nor any available in the morning either in the lobby or by room service; lamps by the bed but no lamp or other light by the table and two chairs across the room. No check in desk and no staff in sight when we checked out in the morning. All rooms on second or third floors accessible only by stairs.
Great services. Friendly staff. Bar was AMAZING.
Shower had a little issue with water going everywhere.
Frenchtown ideal river valley location between lambertville/stockton to south, upper black eddy/erwinna across and milford/reigelsville to north. beautiful canal trail. also charming with Honey Moon bakery, Early Bird coffee, FinnBar dining and National Hotel Holiday charm, cozy local vibe bar and delicious asian dining
The location was wonderful.
It is uncomfortable to have to ask a man wearing ear buds behind a sushi counter to help with a room issue. There is no check in desk whatsoever. We discovered after being in our room for several hours that the door did not lock all the way. The door in the bathroom did not lock either. While we were switched kindly and without issue, we were switched to a room without a closet, without a luggage rack available, and without the spa bath previously paid for. The new room was directly above a bar that played loud music till 11:15, and had an extreme volume of voices as people were shouting over the music. The room was up charged to $400 for the weekend because of the holiday, and it did not meet the value for that price. The new room had a trash can that wasn’t emptied as well. That wasn’t discovered until after we were getting ready for bed. At that point I was so disheartened over the stay it wasn’t worth saying anything. I can only wonder what else was missed in cleaning it. I couldn’t find anyone in the morning to even discuss the issues further. All in all this was a colossal disappointment and a hotel I will not be returning to.
Very.comfortable room. Great staff and great food
Price was a bit high
Great location, friendly staff, delicious sushi!
No cups in bathroom or bedroom area
Nice Bar, nice to have live music, nice room, location ,
Tv control complicated
Great location in the middle of charming town of Frenchtown. Great sushi restaurant in the main dining area.
I lined everything
The staff were very warm and friendly. The room was very clean, the mattress comfortable, and the towels were nice.
I want to acknowledge that some of the things we didn't like were mostly out of your control.
The bridge near the hotel was only open to one-way traffic, making the trip to the other side of the river less convenient. Also, the shape of the room made it sort of difficult for two people navigating the room to get ready. The large bed frame did not help as we kept bumping into it in the narrow space at the end of the bed.
In the evening, the music from downstairs was loud.
I think the price was a little on the high side.
