Location ideal for the dog
We have stayed here several times, each time it is slowly deteriorating they are making efforts with tge outside of the building but staff is main reason, certainly not on the last visit
We arrived to find the reception and lounge area taken over by what we believe to be a large traveller hen party
The staff where just allowing the mayhem to continue, uncontrolled children everywhere running around causing mayhem, loud and shouting
If this booking was taken a warning should have been flagged to other guests of the hotel
The hotel staff were useless had no manners this vibrio ued in breakfast room as well we took one look into room for breakfast and walked straight back out such a shame this hotel could be stunning.

The communial toilets we not very clean, thought they were regularly checked.

Rooms a bit tired - need redecorating. View from bedroom window was flat roof and scaffolding.
Location is excellent, as hotel is set in grounds of a golf course so nice and quiet. Rooms are nicely decorated, clean and spacious. Food is excellent and plenty of choice. Staff are very pleasant and attentive.
I like everything with the hotel
The staff are lively . The hotel is tired & in need of a total refund but we knew this as we are repeat users as the hotel is still good value .

Room was perfect with a lovely view over the entrance. Have stayed here twice before. Love the outside area.
That there was no air con in the middle of the extremely hot weather. Loads of fans, but very uncomfortable to sleep.
Nice garden area. The lady that serves breakfast was very nice.
Was told our room was on the second floor spent about 30 minutes walking around the whole place. Turns out we could not find the room according to the number on the key. Went to reception twice for help and had to walk through some doors that were labeled with other words but no room numbers. Absolute waste of time. View was of the dirty roof. Could not open all the windows and was extremely hot. Had to prop one slightly open with a mug.
Location for visiting friends was good.
The property is very tired and needs some TLC. The ceiling in the bathroom had what looked like black mould and the water out of the taps on the sink barely reached the sink…totally the wrong size.
The table in the bar/restaurant was very sticky.
The food was mediocre.
Peaceful & relaxing location.
Parking was a surprise, I feel residents should park for free.

The setting was lovely, the building is obviously very old which we did like when booking. We enjoyed sitting outside and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The parking was plentiful and a very reasonable price.
The room and hallways of the hotel are in serious need of an upgrade. The upholstery, carpets and curtains were dusty and scratchy. The bathroom was very old and the taps and shower were hard to use. There was staining in the bath and mould on the tile grout as well as peeling paint.
Bar and terrace area very pleasant. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment
The room.was very basic and not in a good state of repair. Terrible view of scaffolding. Peeling wallpaper. Stained mirror. Taps too small.for the sink. Shower unit not very clean.. stayed in better budget hotels
The location was fine with pleasant quiet surroundings. From previous reviews we were expecting the hotel to be in need of updating so we’re not disappointed. The bed was comfortable.
Despite the dilapidated state of hotel we were expecting the rooms to be clean with good appointments. Cleanliness was not to great and fixtures and fittings were worn out. The food availability was disappointing with limited breakfast offerings.
