The accessibility of it and the presentation overall.
Nothing everything was very good.
there were only 2 staff on which was not enough for cheltenham week. they were rushed of their feet. dinner took forever and we left before paying the bill as. no one was around .we paid the next morning .it was not the staffs fault
Spa very busy jacuzzi not working
Was central to Cheltenham and Gloucestershire and the coltswoods
The hours of the health club should allow staff to use facilities for as long as possible on check out day.
The restaurant was lovely, the room was of a good size, clean and with a lovely decor.
Clean
Location.
Breakfast is excellent.
Convenient location
Spa area needs updating. Jacuzzi not working. The gents changing area had two showers not working. The other showers were poor. Too many lockers were broken.
Confusing offer regarding the dinner price - even the staff were confused.
Breakfast was good, plenty to choose from and very fresh .croissants were delicious😋only had fruit and pastries.no cooked .
Didn't feel it's the same personal touch , as years ago ?been good few times over last ten to fifteen years. Used to be lovely Chinese man in the restaurant at breakfast , he worked so hard clearing dishes ,and checking we had all we needed. But now it's get your own tea/coffee toast etc. But actually ignored good few times dishes on our table to take away 😐 seems more a business hotel now .
It's a nice enough hotel, but it's seen much better days. The bar area and restaurant are decent, there is an on-site gym, pool and spa, and the staff were friendly. The breakfast is good.
The quality everywhere is unacceptably low. While there is a pool area, the walls are peeling off. The shower area is disgusting - there are dead flies on the walls, which are covered in black mould, as are the ceilings. I opted to leave the changing room barefoot because I didn't want to get my shoes dirty as well as my feet.
The restaurant menu recommends the duck main, which I ordered. It was so tough that I ended up asking for a steak knife. The waiting staff, who were great, repeatedly offered to replace it, but when the replacement came out it was raw inside. In the end I gave up. They added a free breakfast to my booking the following morning, which was a fair standard, but you can see in the image that the meat was dangerously uncooked.
I then had two beers in the bar, both of which were flat. But I chose not to raise that with staff because I didn't want to keep complaining.
Overall, given the room, meal, drinks and breakfast should have cost c£155, this hotel is priced way above what it delivers. Even though all I paid was £110 for the meal and two beers, I still feel like I got very poor value for money.
Nice size room, and comfortable bed.
All good apart from jacuzzi not working in the pool area.
