Alles very old fashioned, grauenhafte Teppichböden überall. Der Betreiber muss dringend investieren !
Beautiful old building
Nothing it was lovely
Well placed and clean

Location
Our tv was not working the whole time we were there we did report it and they fixed it and we reported it again but nobody fixed it so was annoying to not be able to even access our Netflix etc
Gut gelegen auf der Fahrt nach Inverness.
Location was fantastic, right in the middle of the main street, but our room was at the back of the hotel that looked on to the garden and it was quiet.
Had an issue from the start when I tried to redeem a voucher that was given as a Christmas present from family. The staff member would not accept it as I had booked the stay through booking .com. The next day another staff member sorted it out in a couple of minutes. Our room had dust on the carpet, rust on the mirror in the bathroom, worn carpet and bathroom was a bit shabby, paint peeling on the windows and doors.
On the whole loved the hotel . Loved the little seating areas . Staff lovely . Breakfast amazing . Bar meal in Coach House really good too . Cleanliness in generally good and offerings in the room good.
Bathroom poor . Very difficult to use bath & shower because of position of shower screen & safety handles . It was extremely difficult to actually turn on the taps . Anyone of less mobility would really really struggle - I just about managed . Because of this the grouting around the taps & bath was very manky - I do have photos to prove this . Obviously the cleaning & maintenance team have the same problem .
Only other main issue is the one of privacy at the windows . Being in the ground floor and with lovely outlook - people sitting outside could see directly into our room, so we had to draw down the blind on a beautiful sunny day . Also as it was very warm we would have loved to keep our window open overnight but thought it unsafe as the window was so low to the ground . Some small other issues but understand that the hotel is old ie very squeaky floorboards & shabby paintwork & difficulty opening the window during the day as the window catch was very wobbly .
Location and friendly staff
No problems
Room was beatiful. Lovely bay window and comfy chairs. Plenty room and comfy beds. Had meal in Garden Room on Wednesday night and it was beautiful. Central location. Lively of bottle and chocs to celebrare birthdays.
Only thing was car parking. After trip out could not get a space in main car park on return. Parked in smaller car park. Signage says that it was for residents also. When checking out the next morning we were blocked in by a staff car. Staff member came out very quickly to move car to let us out.
Room was a good size and comfortable
After 3 days the breakfast choices were becoming boring.
Cups and glasses were not washed by housekeeping
