Hotel Du Lac & SPA

An excellent location, with extremely easy access to ferries which are an essential convenience when visiting Lake Como or Bellagio. The hotel itself was very very nice, very clean with helpful staff, great breakfast overlooking the lake. We did pay extra for the garage spaces owned by the Hotel even though we were paying a premuim price for the room istelf and the spaces were not even fully bookrd. Hence my value rating of 4/5. Else, this is a great property to stay.

We chose a superior room with a terrace overlooking the lake. The view was spectacular. The room was well decorated, sound proofed and had a good air cooling system. The bed was also very comfortable. The concierges were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choices. We used the Hotel du Lac's rooftop bar (Celeste) which probably has the best view in Bellagio and is a great place for a beer or cocktail (except for the live music which was too loud for our taste.) Overall the Hotel du Lac is an excellent base from which to explore Bellagio and lake Como

We really enjoy staying here. The Hotel, Staff, Food and Rooftop Bar is all very nice. It’s our go to place for Bellagio! A presto!!

Wow! Don't think twice about booking this hotel, you will not be disappointed. Everything was top notch. We were greeted by the kindest front desk staff who were attentive and helpful the entire stay. The room opened up to an amazing view and had wonderfully soft mattresses and pillows. The breakfast buffet had beautiful views of the lake and a great assortment of foods. We were pleasantly surprised to find the spa with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and ice room included. The location is centrally located on the lake, right by the ferry terminal. you can walk to any restaurant or shop you desire. this was by far one of the highlight of our whole trip to Italy. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

For many, many years we are visiting Bellagio in June or July. Always staying at the Hotel Du Lac. The service, provided by the employees and the owner's family is incredible. Totally enjoyable. You are being looked after with the italian flair you would expect in a family run establishment

We stayed for a week at Hotel du Lac. It's a charming hotel located on the central Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini in Bellagio across from the ferry station. Perfect if you're planning side trips to Varenna, Menaggio, and Tremezzo. Just look out your window to see when no one is in line and walk over to buy your ferry tickets. Rooms were kept very clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooftop bar may be the best place for aperitivo in Bellagio. The food from the bar is very good. Breakfast was included for us. It was very good and you enjoy it on the 2nd floor terrace overlooking the Lake. It included typical Italian pastries, cured meats, cheeses and some traditional English and American breakfast foods (eggs, hash brown style potatoes, bacon, sausage, yogurts, cereals, fresh fruits, etc.) Bellagio is an expensive place, but HdL was still in the reasonable range, certainly for what you get. We would return there.
A few things you may want to know: If you book a lake view balcony, the view is spectacular and it's a great place to have coffee or aperitivo each day. The great, central location means that you will hear some noise from the ferrys and people below. We enjoyed this, but some people may not. The ferry horns woke me up while napping one afternoon, but shame on me for sleeping when I could have been spending more time on the lake! Also, some 4th floor lake view rooms are under the rooftop bar. During the day and at aperitivo time, you will hear noise of chairs being moved and staff working. There was also live entertainment (a singer) up there on the Saturday evening during our week. However, since the bar was closed by 9pm daily, it not a problem sleeping at night.

A beautiful view with caring and attentive staff. Daily room service with clean sheets and towels, good breakfast with made to order cappuccinos, and a relaxing spa with our reservation. All in the heart of downtown Bellagio with close shopping, food, and ferry access. Great value for money. We will be back.
