Courtyard by Marriott Chennai

We stayed 35 days at Courtyard by Marriott Chennai, and it was truly one of the most enjoyable and comfortable hotel experiences we’ve ever had.

From the very first day, the staff made our family feel completely at home. Traveling with young twins can be challenging, but the team took such wonderful care of our children with genuine kindness and attention. It felt much more like a supportive community than just a hotel stay.

Our room on the 9th floor was spacious, bright, and extremely comfortable perfect for a long stay. We also loved spending time in the 10th-floor lounge, which was an excellent space to work, relax, and unwind in a calm atmosphere.

We used the chauffeur service and laundry service frequently, and both were incredibly convenient, efficient, and reliable they made daily life so much easier for us.

One of the most special highlights was during the Pongal festival. The hotel staff went above and beyond to introduce our twins to Tamil traditions, helping them take part in the celebrations and even prepare for the festival. It was such a meaningful cultural experience, and we will always remember how thoughtfully they included our children.

Every single person we met was kind and professional, but we would especially like to thank Tamana, who was outstanding. She was always ready to help, solve any problem immediately, and made our stay even more enjoyable. Her care and dedication truly made this experience unforgettable.

We will absolutely be returning soon for another long stay and we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough to anyone visiting Chennai, especially families.

Gem of a hotel right in the middle of Chennai. Great convenient location..close to everything. Morning breakfast is a must in this hotel. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Chennai!

My recent stay was disappointing and fell well short of expectations associated with the Marriott brand.

The air-conditioning system in the room did not have an effective auto cut-off, leaving only two uncomfortable options—either switching it off completely or enduring excessive cold. This significantly affected sleep quality.

Housekeeping standards were inconsistent. Drinking water bottles were not replenished during daily room service on a particular day. The carpets in the passageways were visibly soiled and poorly maintained.

Basic guest requests were not handled proactively. The team was unable to provide any business newspapers and did not make an effort to arrange them upon request.

The steam room in the spa area was not operational on one day during my stay, reducing the value of the property’s amenities. There were no published pre-alerts on the same

Breakfast service was below expectations. Despite a modest crowd, I had to wait over 30 minutes for my order to be served, pointing to inefficiencies in service execution.

Laundry service, though availed, did not follow the instructions clearly communicated at the time of handover, resulting in avoidable inconvenience.

Overall, the experience was underwhelming, and I left thoroughly disappointed. This property requires immediate attention to basic comfort, service consistency, and operational discipline to meet the standards expected of the Marriott brand.

We had an amazing time at Courtyard Chennai. The location was very close to the Consulate. Rudranarayan took good care of us at the breakfast! Highly recommend!
