Nice hotel, excellent location but outside the room was very noisy
Pros:

Hotel was clean and comfortable and had large room. Staff friendly

Cons:

Room overlooked a busy restaurant so very noisy - people laughing and shouting until very late at night ( better Sunday and Monday). I managed to get to sleep about 11.30pm but my partner didn't and was awake much later. Ironic as hotel asked you to be quiet after 10pm in consideration for other guests.

We loved our visit to Lucca, and the hotel was a big part of that.
Pros:

The staff was terrific throughout our stay. The front desk staff was informative and courteous. The breakfast workers went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the breakfast itself was outstanding. The location was perfect.

Cons:

Our only problem was that the shower drain in our room was badly clogged, so water was unable to drain during a shower.

What a location! Within the historic walls of Lucca… fabulous staff that made entering the historic centre with our hire car super easy. Registered our car so no ztl fine and organising parking

Lovely hotel well located in Lucca
Pros:

Great location, lovely room and very comfortable bed. Very helpful reception staff and a lovely breakfast.

Cons:

Restaurant was not very welcoming ( by staff), although it looked lovely. Our food was disappointing too.

Authentic, charming hotel, well located with a lovely staff provided a very enjoyable stay!
Pros:

The hotel is very charming & well located to the center of Lucca. The staff are so friendly & welcoming. The room was very comfortable & had great air conditioning since it was so hot outside! Breakfast buffet was delicious, with a great assortment of choices. The outside terrace offered such a peaceful place to eat.

Cons:

I have nothing but praise for this hotel.

Cannot fault this great located hotel.
Pros:

If you are looking for a superb location within the walls of Lucca, then this hits the spot. It is close to everything. Even the furthest points of the old town are only a short walk away, maybe 10 minutes maximum at a leisurely stroll, but the center of town is, maybe, 4 to 5 minutes away. The hotel does a small, but well stocked breakfast, both English and Continental. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, which is where breakfast is served. this is accessible via the hotel itself, and is not open for the public during breakfast, only for the residents staying there. The staff, whether front desk, bar and restaurant, or simply the room service, are all charming and greet you with a smile. The rooms have a safe and a chargeable minibar.
Bed was comfortable (although that's a matter of personal taste). There's no real "view" from the rooms, but, let's face it, it is a medieval town with narrow streets and a lot of buildings in a small area.

Cons:

Would have liked a little milk in the minibar for use on the first morning to make a coffee, so we went out instead for our cappuccino. That's probably the only tiny criticism, but wouldn't stop us staying there again.

Wonderful stay in the heart of the Old Town
Pros:

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location for wandering around the old town day or night. We loved the breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful in arranging things like Taxis and bookings. Excellent English spoken but they did let me try with my limited Italian first! Huge bathroom too.

Cons:

We were in room 23 which is the ground floor right by the restaurant - there isn’t much soundproofing from the road, restaurant or stairs (in the bathroom) and it was loud. It didn’t detract from an excellent stay for us in general but worth noting if you are sound sensitive.

Drei sehr schöne Tage in Lucca
Pros:

Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen, und trotzdem konnten wir es mit dem Auto gut anfahren, weil wir dort einen Parkplatz reserviert hatten. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit und hat uns bei allem unterstützt. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, das Frühstück war lecker, also alles prima.

Enjoyed every minute of our stay!
Pros:

Location excellent for staying in the middle of a walled city. Breakfast in the courtyard serene ! Staff all very happy & helpful. Restaurant top level and convenience of being able to retreat to the Bar/ Lounge for the cooling cocktail , wonderful!

Sistema musicale: un CD/impianto integrato direttamente nella parete, con casse incorporate, sicuramente una soluzione originale e particolare che ha allietato i momenti in cui siamo stati in camera

Considerando che si tratta di una struttura a 4 stelle, ci aspettavamo un livello di servizio decisamente diverso.
La nostra camera, la n. 23, era situata vicino alla cucina. Per tutta la sera abbiamo sentito un forte odore di cucina provenire dalla zona ristorante. Inoltre, il rumore era davvero insostenibile: urla, pentole e padelle, telefoni che squillavano, persone che parlavano e urlavano al telefono. Abbiamo segnalato immediatamente il problema alla reception, ma non abbiamo ricevuto praticamente alcuna soluzione. Da quanto abbiamo potuto vedere, l’hotel non era nemmeno al completo, quindi ci saremmo aspettati che ci venisse proposta almeno la possibilità di cambiare camera. Il risultato è stato che non siamo riusciti a dormire fino alle 1:30 di notte. Inoltre la finestra sita in alto e non pulita era coperta da tenda polverosa e non particolarmente coprente, vedere la luce del giorno mentre si dorme non aiuta il sonno, la mancanza di pulizia ordinaria non è salutare.
Bagno attrezzato per persone con disabilità, ma la seggetta del WC era talmente piccola e scomoda che era praticamente impossibile utilizzare normalmente il WC. Inoltre, abbiamo trovato dei capelli nella doccia e durante la doccia l’acqua fuoriusciva sul pavimento e, una volta usciti dalla doccia, si rischia concretamente di scivolare e cadere, proprio a causa dell’acqua presente a terra. La colazione del mattino è stata deludente per servizio assente e per qualità pochissima scelta di frutta, praticamente solo mele, alcune delle quali apparivano molto vecchie e raggrinzite, nessuna vera varietà di frutta di stagione, solo due tipi di croissant e nessuna particolare proposta di prodotti integrali.
