We had an amazing time!! The Woodward House is so beautiful. Comfy beds!! Serene porches. Went kayaking! Swimming in lake and pool. Staff were incredible!! Can’t wait to come back.
Excellent getaway. Stayed in Woodward House. Season's Restaurant on property was awesome. Very nice rustic feel around the property and the Lake is a cool feature
The check in experience was so bad, we left and did not stay at the Inn. When I called back later, guest services manager accused me of lying. My entire get-away was ruined and I never received so much as an apology.
Overall our experience was great. Only negative feedback would be the AC I think should have been on before we arrived and a few alive and dead pincher bugs in the room.
The morning breakfast buffet was great.

This is a wonderful destination site! The rooms are large & very clean. On the premises , there is fishing, kayaking, swimming, hiking…. An all in one site! The breakfast buffet is a bountiful array of items with enough choices to please everyone.

It was a short trip from Asheville but a completely different experience. It reminded me of being in summer camp. The cottage we had was charming. Rustic but clean and comfortable. The grounds were very pretty. A large pool, volleyball area, beautiful lake with paddle boats and kayaks. The area had a delicious breakfast restaurant called Flatrock Bakery. In a few miles were wonderful restaurants in Hendersonville. I highly recommend this lodge especially for a family vacation.
Wonderful property, clean lake and pool, peaceful quiet grounds, delicious food all reasonable priced… can’t beat it.

A wonderful gem. Super clean, dog friendly and beautiful grounds to explore. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful also dinner.
This was our second stay. We love Highland Lake. It is a nice quiet space. Our room was clean, attractive and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a nice view from the window of Seasons Restaurant. The location is very convenient to most every thing you would want to do.

Room could be updated and brightened. Room 17 needs a smaller chair - or maybe 2 smaller chairs. screen door on balconey would be great so we could leave door open at night. chair or 2 on balconey would be nice, too.

Our 4 night stay was wonderful. The suite we chose was so comfortable and well appointed. The breakfasts were very good, with many choices. We had a celebratory meal at Season's which was delicious. All the employees we had contact with were very professional, personable and helpful. It was a beautiful setting with the beginning Spring blossoms.
The rooms are quaint and make you feel at home. The breakfast (that is free with your stay!) is amazing!!! We make it a habit to stay at Highland Inn to celebrate our anniversary, and it does not disappoint.
