I love you
I love you
There were several pools and they were all fun to play in.
The property was well guarded and felt mostly safe.
The location was ideal for the next leg of our travels.
The hotel is old and falling apart and it shows.
I felt nervous that the balcony was going to literally collapse.
The Pools were rather filthy.
There were several family disputes and brazen drunkenness
I really enjoyed the relaxed ambiance
Due to the date coinciding with the Coachella Music Festival the room fee was especially high and no late check out was allowed
It's was available
Wish it could have been more modern and cleaner
It was somewhat in the area
Dirty, sink was not functioning, sketchy vibes
Absolutely nothing run down outdated
Check in person was great the rest down right rude
Pool and The view was beautiful
Bar and restaurant close early
The staff were all very nice and helpful.
The property is older and dated.
From the moment you step in, you can tell that this place would have been sensational in its hey day.
So many original retro features.
Our room was spacious and suited us well.
The pool area was expansive. It is getting fairly run down but its still a novel way to relax and unwind after a day of hiking. The restaurant has some great daily specials.
Could use an update.
Good staff
Too dirty. No hot water :(. Dirty bed. Super dirty pool
Absolutely nothing
There was water licking from the roof and dirty overall. They should burn the place down.
The different spas a d pools and I was allowed a late check out
The amount of people lol
Everything was dirty and old
too expensive for it being Run down dirty and old
Pool area and the People’s in reception
It need rennovation of the rooms - really old and not nice
Super helpful and friendly staff. Large room.
Unsafe sidewalks surrounding all pools, dirty, dirty pool water, the excessive and continuous odour of marijuana, gates surrounding pools that are left open and unsafe for children or families with children. Black mould in our shower and bath area. The icing on the cake: smoke alarm "chirping" in the middle of the night, only to discover the smoke alarm past manufactured date was 2018.
SO SO many safety concerns.
The good bits. The staff were all kind and helpful where they could be. Seems like everyone is run off their feet though - no maintenance guy yesterday apparently and it’s then guests that suffer. The patio doors despite appearances do a great job of blocking out the noise from the pool area which is 24hrs. In room Furniture dated but functional. Fridge working. We could always find a sunbed despite it being busy for spring break.
The bad bits. We reported broken AC and balcony furniture 3 times and it wasn’t sorted throughout our stay. The room was 80°F. We had to have the patio door curtains permanently closed to stand any chance of the old unit cooling our room. The fan for it is extremely noisy and disrupted everyone’s sleep. One of the beds was really uncomfortable. Our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay so the bin was overflowing and towels not replaced. We had to use our showering towels for the pool as there are no ‘spa towels’ provided which I’ve never experienced before. The staff were twice out of stock of clean towels at reception to swap and as the lilos are really dirty the towels were soiled quickly. The gents restroom and changing rooms was out of service on Saturday while it was busy for spring break. The ladies was in pretty poor condition too with no hooks in one of the showers and faulty lights. Our room shower was as cool (couldn’t get it warm) and water pressure was lacking it was stuttering off and on the whole time.
The pools themselves were pretty dirty and no one seems to be responsible for cleaning the area. Cups, cans and food everywhere even though it’s not meant to be allowed. The floor is cracked in many places so sandals are a must as you may injure your feet. The kiddies pool had many sharp edges. One of our kids cut their hand in there. Mentioned to a member of staff who shrugged. There is no lifeguard which baffles me for the main pool which is 9ft deep and many non swimmers. We didn’t have any issues with other guests though.
Despite booking a non smoking room and there being no smoking signs people were smoking on balcony’s and the whole area stinks of smoke in the evening. Sitting on the balcony was not enjoyable for this reason (with the broken furniture).
We paid close to $400 for this weekend trip and I have to say it hasn’t presented as a 4* property or giving value for money.
