Break for Golfer and non-golfer
Pros:

Location was lovely with great facilities , plenty of choices to eat and reasonably priced.
Staff very friendly and very accomodating.
Room was very nice so would recommend Dalmahoy Hotel for the golf and non golfer and a break if wanting to explore the area with easy access to Edinburgh.

Cons:

Hard to find a fault.

We could have stayed in a top hotel in the City centre for the same price as this tired old place
Pros:

Bed was comfortable

Cons:

It was not in Edinburgh. It was 9 miles out and not part of Edinburgh. For a City Break in Edinburgh It was poor. As a golf hotel it would be fine. It is tired and badly laid out with long walks to bedrooms

The Dowager Empress of hotels! Historic and very classy but friendly and down to earth - beautiful surroundings!!
Pros:

Beautiful property away from the noise and commotion of Edinburgh! Gorgeous surroundings
Calm and peaceful. Excellent service . Very caring staff that help with anything. Great pool . Amazing breakfast. I want to go back 😊!

Cons:

No plugs by the bed, but they do have some extension cords if you forget yours .

Pros:

My stay was very relaxing and I really enjoyed the peaceful vibe i felt.
I loved the added feature of the pool and havent enjoyed a swim in years.

Cons:

If we come again i need to request a room nearer to receprion as my husband has has a broken hip and struggled a little walking to the room and with the over bath shower. ( I should of requested a walk in shower )

Pros:

Staff were super nice. Gym was good and big with plenty of machines.

Cons:

No jacuzzi. Breakfast had a lot of variety but some of the items were a bit stale.

Shower pressure was also not the best and I did not like that the shower head was “held hostage” and could not be used to clean feet etc.

Was a bit of a drive from Edinburgh as well, but to be expected being a golf club.

A comfortable stay with a traditional country house vibe
Pros:

The property is beautiful and feels like staying in a traditional country house. There were several options for dining and excellent bars. The room was very comfortable and had a refrigerator. There was plenty of parking and a bus service at the front gate. The gym and pool facilities were particularly good and the golf courses and grounds were lovely. The staff were welcoming and very efficient.

Cons:

The layout is a bit confusing at first especially in the lifts with the negative floor numbers. The location is a bit isolated but not much of a problem as there’s a bus service and Park and Ride options are close by.

The grounds were great, staff was great.
Food and service were great!
The rooms were in poor condition. Mold in the bathrooms, broken tiles, Grout missing. Rooms smelled like smoke. Over all for the price and what we thought we were getting it didn’t measure up.

Comfortable, relaxing feeling very welcome
Pros:

Breakfast is very good, nice dinning area in the conservatory, excellent selection of items to choose from. Staff have been very friendly and the overall stay was good. Exterior needs a little TLC, but that is a minor point.

Cons:

External decor, needs a little attention to keep it looking its best.

Pros:

El hotel es precioso, las camas super cómodas, el desayuno correcto, no es muy variado pero lo que ponen está fresco y muy bueno.
El personal es muy amable, en especial Paul y el chico joven con gafas del bar que nos trató de maravilla, no recuerdo su nombre.

Cons:

Dos cosas que no me gustaron tanto, para llegar a la habitación necesitabamos un mapa, nos pediamos siempre, un laberinto.
La otra, es que esta un poco lejos, el taxi cuesta 35 libras para llegar a Edimburgo y para coger la guagua tienes que caminar 15 min,

Pros:

Lovely traditional Scottish hotel. Comfortable rooms and bed 😊

Cons:

Both restaurants closing at 830 was a bit early for us. The breakfast was also below average
