Room was clean and refreshed every day.
Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much for them.
The bed was very hard though and could do with some modern and softer mattress.
Although very clean, the bathroom was dated and had a very uncomfortable loo.
Finally, the most important aspect was the price which is well above what is on offer….

A good size room. Fabulous breakfast, with excellent restaurant service.
Helpful concierge.
Not great:
They forgot to clean our room on first day.
Queuing for breakfast with only one person checking people in AND showing them to tables. Long delays!
Rooms are a bit of a hike from reception.
Badly arranged wardrobes. Little storage.

The stay was amazing the grounds are beautiful transit was close by so no need to drive into Edinburgh. The restaurant had great atmosphere and food. Highly recommend 😊

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Our room was lovely and comfortable. We enjoyed a great meal in one of their restaurants and we had a pleasant time sipping an aperitif in the cocktail lounge. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Very poor value for money room was clean but small, there was a very bad fusty smell in the ensuite. The bed was small a standard double. Wardrobe was tiny no bath robes or slippers. Having paid £200 for one night with no breakfast I expected better. I would not stay here again

We checked in really early and the reception staff went above and beyond to ensure housekeeping got our room ready really quickly. We had lunch in the bistro while we waited which was very pleasant. The bar staff were super friendly and very accommodating.
The room was amazing and really comfortable, after a long flight and the onset of jet lag it was just what we needed.

Pros:

Reception were friendly and welcoming and room was good. Beds were super comfortable and safe, fridge etc all included. Ate in bistro and food and service was very good. The one downfall was the cocktail bar after dinner who had no coffee available as in their words "they couldn't find the coffee beans". Sadly that meant no coffee and no liqueurs. Breakfast selection was good, reasonably hot and service was excellent. We would/will stay again.
