Third time staying here so definitely location right on the riverside, short walk into shopping centre. Bar area was nice. Were able to leave our bags after checking out (although there might be a time limit on this as staff asked 'until what time?'). We collected our bags around 5.30pm.
The hotel took a long time to answer messages before arrival which wasn't ideal. One answer about dropping our bags off early arrived long after we had already checked in. Staff not as friendly as during previous stays although one or two were helpful enough. Most of the time no one was on reception. Our room was a lot more expensive this time but my bed was uncomfortable, mattress sank in the middle, tv on the wall was crooked, mold on some tiles. Room 508 needs a little TLC. Enjoyed previous stays more.
Location was great.
Comfortable beds.
Breakfast was very nice
Would like to warn other guests of the issue I encountered and the additional cost.
I received an email about upgrading the room and parking. Initially I booked both but then thought the upgraded room wasnt going to be worth it as we were going to a concert.
So I cancelled the upgrade and just took the parking. I had confirmation of this.
On arrival I was charged for the upgrade and when I said I had cancelled it and provided evidence there was nothing they could do as there were no other rooms available.
So just be careful of this.
When I complained to the hotel directly I was advised that this is why it is better to book direct with them!!
Nothing
Aged.. unwelcoming.. old fashioned layout.. poor dining facilities.. lifts confusing and very slow to arrive.. cooling in rooms noisy
In the location we needed and had aircon
The corridors looked tired
Large room with arm chair and desk. Quiet room. Great view of the river Ouse. Great size bathroom and powerful shower.
Air conditioning unit leaking (there was a note and tray to catch drips). Stains on the chair and carpet. Window frames dusty with a dead spider. Sheets looked dirty.
Location. Breakfast.
Nothing.
Central. Parking. Espace commun agréable et aéré. Grande chambre, lits confortables
Le restaurant pourrait fermer un peu plus tard si possible

Friendly staff, nice location and had an upgrade
Bar shut at 11oclock
Nice
Bathroom door didn’t shut
Location. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast.
Room a bit small and lots of small corridors. Hard to get bearings.
Good location and views of the river
Hotel was very shabby.Graffiti on the hotel signs, cigarettes lying on the steps and lift. Shower didn’t work, ran hot and cold. Sink was smelly. Staff would not accept that my assistance dog was included free with my booking and demanded that showed evidence that my my dog was a registered assistance dog and would not let me check in and forced to pay for his stay. The staff were very unhelpful and confrontational which I found unacceptable and extremely distressing. I would not recommend this hotel.
The location, the selection of drinks in the bar
The room we ordered was not the room we were given. It said that it was a panoramic city view with a river view and the view was outside air-con units( see picture). The air con in the room was that noisy we were unable to use it. The lock on the door was broken. The bathroom smelt. When I went down to say that we hadn’t been allocated the room that we had paid for they said there was nothing they could do as the hotel was fully booked.
It's in the middle of Bedford.
Room was cleaned when requested.
Hotel doesn't take cash, very inconvenient.
Car park was not organised at all.
Safe was not operational on arrival.
Shower head was full of limescale and ineffective.
General lingering smell in bathroom.
Lack of towel rails.
Air-conditioning very noisy.
Room walls thin.
Exterior of hotel shabby.
Sent emails inviting me to upgrade stay, which I did, but found out it was all automated and no such upgrades actually existed, so why waste my time?
