How clean and comfortable it was for a hostel.
The fact that the water is never hot just warm and also how far it is from Buchanan station
Wir haben die Unterkunft primär wegen des günstigen Preises und der dennoch ziemlich guten Bewertungen ausgewählt. Insgesamt hatte die Unterkunft alles, was man für ein paar Tage brauchte und die Betten waren ebenfalls okay. Von der Lage her war es zwar mit den Koffern ein relativ langer Weg bis zum Hauptbahnhof, aber dennoch sehr zentral, sodass man auch abends gut die Stadt erkunden konnte. Gleichzeitig fühlte man sich in der Gegend sicher. Die Mitarbeiter gingen auf unsere Fragen ein und waren freundlich.
Leider war die Unterkunft ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen, starke Gebrauchsspuren waren sichtbar und in unserem Teppich fehlte ein Stück. Dies war für den Aufenthalt nicht weiter schlimm, aber passte nicht zu den dargestellten Fotos. Teilweise roch es etwas seltsam und die Luft war manchmal ziemlich staubig. Vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war es dafür zu teuer bemessen.
Außerdem war der Online-Check-In verwirrend, aber immerhin war der Check-In vor Ort unkompliziert.

no lift.( i have walking difficulties) i luckily got a bottom bunk don't know what to do if i had a top one also not sure if you can pre book a lower bunk.

The location was spot on, just off the main street, rooms where lovely.
Close to everything. Felt safe in surrounding area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of advice about the area and all the facilities you could need from a hostel.
24 hour reception was great.
The only complaint I have is the mattress was sooo uncomfortable and rock hard but other than that no complaints at all.
Close to the area i needed to be in for the weekend - location was not far from the bus station and close to essential shops
Room felt stuffy in the night downstairs - pillow was not great but it did what i needed as i was not there that long.
The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, very close to main street, my only hiccup was, the room was to warm for me, I'm used to a cool room.

Check in nice and easy if you just avoid the online stuff they send you. Bed was pretty comfortable, very near to the train station and the rest of the city centre.
Felt like it could do with a little bit of modernising/renovation, would have liked at least a curtain around the bed.
