Hotel Duas Nações

The first receptionist at the property was not at their station and made us wait to be attended. When she eventually arrived she was rude about it and offered no apologies. The facilities were not explained nor taken through breakfast times,wifi etc.Only the lady working nightshift was better.There is a small lift which only fits one person and one bag and apparently doesn't work if you touch it at certain spots and one had to stand still when going up.its extremely uncomfortable and when you leave or enter you must take the bags up one by one with no offered assistance. It takes about 5min for it to get to the 4th floor.The room did not live up to expectations and looks old and the phone was never answered when we called for assistance with anything

No me gustó la atención de todo el personal femenino, 5 personas parecían fastidiadas con su trabajo. Cobraron impuesto adicionales extra x día y persona, la tarifa tenía ya incluído impuestos. Habitación chiquita con puerta interna hacia otra habitación, se sentían ruidos. Ascensor muy lento y pequeño, solo xa una persona, escaleras altas de madera, muy empinadas. Enfrente había edificio en obra muy pegado a la ventana, los trabajadores miraban x mi ventana. Todos los días dejaban la ventana sin tranca luego del aseo durante 3 días seguidos lo noté.

L'emplacement du l'hôtel dans le centre névralgique de la capitale Portugaise est un atout mais malheureusement c'est fort bruyant à cause des animations.
L'insonorisation de l'hôtel et ses fenêtres y font défaut malheureusement.

La falta de ascensor, son 4 plantas y es una escalera muy pesada, tiene uno pero es muy pequeño

A hely valóban nem csendes, de ez az elhelyezkedés miatt van. Éjfél utánig vannak nyitva az éttermek a szomszédban és a környező utcákban, nyüzsgő a sétálóutca, természetes, hogy zajosabb, éjfél utánig tart a fiesta, igen, egy ilyen környék ezzel jár. Nekünk tökéletesen megfelelt, imádjuk a nyüzsgést, az életet. Élmény volt az is, hogy hajnali 1-kor szerenádozott egy helyi csoport az ablak alatt. Nem mindennapi élmény!!! Vannak építkezések is a közelben, ez egy óváros, ahol mindig van felújítani való. És mint mindenütt a világon, reggel kezdik a munkát. A szemétszállítás is működik szerencsére, és igen, annak is van hangja, de van hangja máshol is, elviszik és csend. Talán a klíma hangosabb a szokottnál, de legalább kellemes meleg volt a szobában, miután hatalmas szelet kaptunk az utolsó napon, jól esett a meleg a szobában.

Our experience and the way we were treated were highly unprofessional.

Our complaint from my wife' point of view:

To begin with, the photos on the website did not match the room we had booked at all. The original room was essentially a broom closet. As a woman who was 34 weeks pregnant, my partner and I could barely pass each other in the room, and I did not even fit properly in the shower. That alone is unacceptable. What made it worse was that the staff initially refused to do anything about it, until our booking provider contacted the hotel on our behalf.

Eventually, we were offered a room change. Exhausted and hungry, we went to see the alternative room and accepted it despite the circumstances. While it had slightly more space and I could just fit in the shower, the room was still far from acceptable. There was no proper ventilation, the air conditioning did not function correctly, there appeared to be mold on the bedroom walls, and one of the power outlets was partially coming out of the wall. At that point, it was honestly distressing.

We asked multiple times to speak to the manager, who was supposedly coming the next day. We asked three different reception staff members, yet none of them seemed to know anything about this. Communication was clearly lacking.

The elevator was also extremely uncomfortable and borderline frightening. Only one person could fit inside, and even then, I had to physically hold my stomach in to avoid triggering the sensor. We specifically chose this hotel because it advertised a bathtub, so I would have space and comfort during pregnancy. However, one receptionist even claimed the hotel did not have bathtubs at all, despite what was shown online and mentioned in reviews.

After two sleepless nights, I no longer felt safe staying there — not for myself, and certainly not for my unborn baby. The thought of spending three more nights in a damp, moldy room under constant stress was simply unacceptable.
