Cleanliness
6
Multiple reviews mention dust, mouldy/damp smells, dirty floors and grime behind taps — cleanliness is a clear weak point.
Service
9.4
Staff repeatedly described as friendly and welcoming, but there are isolated complaints about poor communication around the AC issue and slow complaint handling.
Location
9.5
Location and free/easy parking repeatedly praised; convenient for airport and local attractions.
Room Quality
6.5
Rooms noted as comfortable with good beds and 1920s decor, but many reports of very warm rooms due to broken AC, dusty furnishings and occasional damaged items (bathtub cover, office chair).
Amenities
6.8
Parking and period features praised, but the primary amenity issue is widespread non-working air conditioning (fans provided) and at least one report of a dusty fan.
Value for Money
9.4
Several guests called it good value for short stays and praised breakfast/parking; some dissatisfaction about being charged full rate and small tourist taxes, but overall value perception remains strong.
Food and Beverage
9.4
Breakfast described as very good by some guests, though there are isolated complaints about items running out or being expensive for the quality.
Overall Experience
9.4
Guests enjoyed the decor, location, beds and friendly staff, but repeated issues with temperature control and some cleanliness lapses tempered stays — overall experience remains positive for many.

Pros:

Lovely Art deco property, sadly we only stayed one night as it was conveniently located near the airport. Also liked the added bonus of the plains on site.

Cons:

The only thing for me that let the room down was the rubbish office chair at the dresser, it really spoilt the look of the room.

Great hotel, lovely staff, shame about the problem with the hotel temperature being so warm
Pros:

Staff all great, the room was a good size with a comfortable bed. The towels in the bathroom were really good. Loved the 1920s decor throughout the hotel. Breakfast was very good. Parking was good.

Cons:

The room was exceptionally warm because of the fault in the hotel's heating/air conditioning, which we had been made aware of prior to our arrival but the experience was worse than we expected. The hotel did provide a very good fan, however, it was covered in dust!

Shocking.
Cons:

The room smelt of damp and mould, they expected my 2 year old to sleep in a travel cot with a towel used as a bottom sheet. I moved the bed to put the travel cot in between both beds and the floor was disgusting, dirty tissues, old food, absolutely disgusting!! I put in a complaint around 6-7 weeks ago and I’ve heard NOTHING!! Absolutely poor customer service, my daughter ended up with a chest infection a couple of days after staying in a room with mouldy/damp smell.
