Location, staff, cleanliness, and a good breakfast.

We were there because my mom wasn't doing well after hip surgery so we were feeling a little blue, but we found the Belfast Harbor Inn to be very clean and every staff member to be so friendly and helpful. You can tell the owners are very conscientious about doing maintenance to keep the inn looking pleasant as I noticed several places in the hallway where the paint had been touched up. The lobby atmosphere is nautical, clean and cute. Even the staircases are kept clean. The location is convenient to downtown Belfast and if you are continuing to up the road to see more of Down East. It's about a 2 miles walk if you use the footbridge across the water. The workout room is small but doable. The price for March in Belfast, Maine was reasonable. It is right on Route 1 so the traffic can be busy and thus noisy. We found the room and bathroom to be super clean. The beds were a little firm and "moaned" when we moved in the night. The heat/cooling pump in the room was not working correctly and we determined the recorded temperature on the remote was not accurate. The first night it was making a deep rumbling noise that made it hard to sleep so we turned it off and cracked the window which then meant we had the traffic noise in the room so we turned on white noise on the phone which helped. At first, we thought it was just when you were asking it to heat. But the second night was warmer outside so we lowered the temperature and it was making a soft clicking, so we turned it off again, opened the window and had traffic noise for another night. Both nights we found the room too warm even with the window open. The closet door got stuck open which wasn't a huge deal for us. The breakfast was excellent. They describe it as a continental breakfast, but we found it to be much more than that as they offered 3 different versions of quiche, fresh baked pastries and so much more each morning. It was delicious. So overall, we would recommend the Belfast Motor Inn.

Clean, big, comfy rooms, amazing breakfast, close to downtown belfast. The pool and hot tub are amazing, highly recommend

The location was perfect. A quick drive over the scenic bridge brings you into Belfast. Our room was very clean with beautiful artwork and sliding glass door onto a small balcony with an unobstructed view of the harbor. The dining area was very nice with a wall of windows to take in the view. We look forward to returning in the Summer.

The view, hot tub, the quiet, the bed was comfortable

It was everything your ad said it was. The hot tub was wonderful with jets and heat. A little hard to get out of, but worth it. View of ocean was so pretty with the new falling snow. Room and bed was very comfortable. Very clean and updated . Pleasant friendly staff. Quiet all night. Food ok, big selection for a continental.
