I didn’t have it
It all went smoothly
They refused a one hour early check in without even checking if our room was ready.
The distance from downtown listed on the booking site is inaccurate and there were no taxi's or drive shares operating in this town-update on this: Tim, the booking site says the hotel is 0.9 miles from downtown. I don't expect exact accuracy but when we were at the hotel and we put in a restaurant in the center of the town, the map said it was 2 miles. At the time, Luke said the distance was more like 1.5 miles if we walked and used shortcuts. That wasn't feasible. Tim, the manager called me today and attempted to "mansplain" the map on the booking site. Told me the real distance is just about a mile, regardless of the fact that if you map the distance from the hotel to a restaurant which is right in the center of the town, the map says 1.9 miles. He ended the call abruptly once we reached this conclusion and has mysteriously been unavailable since, despite his insistence that he wanted to address the other comments.
The staff were rude and just not very service oriented
The buffet breakfast was set up in this weird way where you had to line up at a counter and be served
The room was very basic and in general the hotel is not a $500 a night hotel-more like a $150.
The Belfast harbor inn is very nicely decorated. The lobby is inviting. The front desk people are very polite and kind. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was fantastic! They have blueberry coffee cake and scones, croissants, and raspberry puff pastries. The breakfast quiche is delicious. The ocean view was beautiful but the ocean is farther away than I expected. I wish there was a sidewalk to walk all that way down to the beach because I need a walker/ rollator to go long distances . I will be back next year. The Celtic Festival was fun.
Nice place with a good view of the water
No real complaints. The breakfast was a little clunky and not what I expected
I choose this hotel mainly because of it's listed proximity to downtown. All of the booking sites say it's .9 miles from downtown-walkable for me which is why I choose to pay significantly more to stay there. I requested a one hour early check in (2:00 pm instead of 3:00 pm). When we got there, the staff person did not ask my name or any reservation details, just bluntly told me check-in was not until 3. Ordinarily staff will at least pretend to check if a room is ready and the hotel was pretty quiet-there was no sign of housekeeping along the hallway where we later found our room was assigned. I would assume that housekeeping were done for the day at 2:15 and all of the rooms were prepared. At 3:00 when we finally got to check in, we decided to leave our car at the hotel and order a taxi or a ride share. We were there for a music festival and knew parking was limited downtown-again. the reason I choose the hotel which was "closest" to downtown. No taxi and no ride share operate in Belfast which surprised us because it pops up on travel sites a lot and seemed like a busy place. The staff sort of mocked us for looking for transportation in what they described as "a small town" 'a rural community" etc but then presented us with a list of taxi's that they said were located an hour away and to get downtown would take us hours. The room was mediocre, average at best. The rugs are pretty threadbare and the buffet breakfast had this weird set up where you line up at a kitchen counter and ask for what you want from the "buffet". Overall this is a $150 hotel on the outskirts of a small town-definitely not a $500 a night luxury escape.
Location, near main roadways so easy to not only get into downtown Belfast, but also surrounding areas for day trips.
We paid for a premium room with water view as well as balcony with chairs to enjoy morning coffee. Unfortunately our room was the only one with observed view of the water (half of the view was blocked by overhanging roof by indoor pool). It also was area where guests would sit at night and chat, drink etc and was loud. Since we booked 4 nights, we asked following morning to move to new room. They were able to accommodate this request so problem solved. But this room should be discounted IMO.
The hotel was in a great location. The room was exactly as promised. The staff was attentive and the breakfast was delicious.
Nice place, not really walkable to central belfast but not a big deal. The rooms were clean. The place was nice. The price was fair.
Nice staff!
The breakfast set up was strange.
I liked the patio on the back of the building that overlookes the water. The quiches and breakfast pastires were great. And our room was clean.
The A/C was off in our room when we arrived and it was very stuffy and hot in the room. There were no instructions for operating the A/C unit and we ended up having to call the front desk and someone had to come show us how to operate it.
