Un peu de bruit le soir (centre ville)
The room was lovely and spacious with a very large and comfortable bed. Having our bed linen and towels changed each day was fabulous alongside having bins being taken out etc, which felt premium. The staff were very welcoming and polite from the moment we stepped through the door all the way to check out. Breakfast provides a lot of hot and cold options, and has a nice time window.
Some parts of the room were looking a bit tired e.g. the ceilings.
L'amabilité et la politesse du personnel, les gâteaux "fait-maison" du petit déjeuner, le choix proposé, l'emplacement parfait de l'hôtel en plein centre-ville historique. Des petites bouteilles d'eau mises à disposition chaque jour.
Chambre un peu vieillotte mais je pense que c'est en cours de rénovation car travaux dans la journée. Un peu petite également mais parfaitement fonctfonctile. Le frigo ne fonctionnait pas.
Des voyageurs ont pu ouvrir ma porte de chambre en pleine nuit... pourquoi ? Comment ?

Very quirky and interesting design; we loved using the spa (although the jacuzzi was out of order which was disappointing) and the hotel room shower was fantastic! Overall a very comfortable, fun and memorable place to start our Florentine experience!
There were no teabags or coffee sachets in our kitchenette, despite there being a kettle and plenty of sugar available!?!

I chose this hotel mainly because of its excellent location close to the Uffizi Gallery, as we were planning an early morning visit to the museum. I also wanted a proper hotel with a 24-hour reception, breakfast included, a kettle with tea in the room, a spacious room and good value for money. The hotel met all of these requirements very well.
The location is excellent for exploring Florence on foot. The lobby is beautiful, with paintings and a grand piano, and gives the hotel a special atmosphere. I also liked the glass lift. When you go up to the third floor, you can see that the hotel is arranged around an inner courtyard, with lovely views of the traditional tiled rooftops of Florence.
Our room was very spacious. We booked a room for three people to have some extra space, although only two of us stayed there. The interior must have been quite luxurious when the hotel was newer. Some of the furniture is now a little worn, but I think this is also reflected in the reasonable price.
Most importantly, everything was very clean. The bed linen was crisp and beautifully fresh. The bathroom was well equipped with soap, shampoo, body lotion, shower caps and a cotton vanity kit.
Breakfast actually starts at 7:00 a.m. (not 7:30) and continues until 11:00, which is very convenient if you have an early visit to the Uffizi or other sightseeing plans.
Overall, for a one-night stay in central Florence, it was an excellent choice and very good value for money.
The main area that could be improved is breakfast. This would not require major changes, but it would make the overall hotel experience noticeably better.
The scrambled eggs were extremely runny and not very appetising, so I chose the hard-boiled eggs instead. There were no fresh vegetables at all — no tomatoes or cucumbers — which was surprising.
The cheese selection was also confusing. Different types of cheese, such as mozzarella, were indicated, but they were not actually available. There seemed to be only one type of cheese, probably Edam. On the positive side, there were cold cuts and salami, as well as pastries, muesli, tea, coffee and juices from a machine.
The fruit selection was very limited. We came for breakfast at around 7:30 a.m., so quite early, but there was already only a small amount of fruit available. This is something that could easily be improved.
Another point concerns the breakfast staff. They were talking quite loudly to each other for much of the time, and dishes were also being changed and handled rather noisily. The overall impression was a little less polished than one would expect from the atmosphere of the hotel. A bit more attention to the organisation and presentation of the breakfast service would make a significant difference.
These are relatively small issues, however, and did not spoil our stay.
