Clean hotel, need a car, nice buffet food, no outdoor pool from Oct!!
Pros:

Staff were quite friendly and hotel was very clean. Buffet food was delicious with a great variety, especially the salads.

Cons:

The outdoor pool is NOT open in October -even though both the photographs and the description mention that the property has a lovely outdoor pool! We booked the property specifically so my elderly mother-in-law could swim with her grandson as it was a very special treat to stay there for her birthday. The staff were not very receptive to the feedback about us being so disappointed that the pool was not opened for our 2 night stay there. They said every hotel in the area close their pool from Oct for the Winter but we know that is not true because we own an apartment in Mijas and know the area very well. As a result it meant our days were very long in the hotel with nothing to do apart from sit in the lobby.

Lovely hotel
Pros:

Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Lovely surroundings. Room was nice, good shower and comfortable beds.

Cons:

All was great. The hotel reception, bar and outside space and gardens are lovely. If anything, room could do with a little update but really no complaints.

I love coming here, but could not bring husband
Pros:

excellent choices and chef’s omelet was superb. tables cleared promptly

Cons:

The bathrooms are in desperate need of replacing. Dated and not in good order. Shower broken in different parts and strong sewage smell from the start.

Lovely quiet hotel, communication and value to be better
Pros:

Loved the property- à real refuge from the Costa, à nice quiet hotel- the decor was simple

Cons:

Honestly I’m conflicted- it’s clearly a lovely hotel- however we purchased our stay, not realising the pool wasn’t open (the AI chat said it was end of October plus their own app said end of Oct) they also set up chairs for a wedding (then took them down)- the ability to have a lazy few days by the pool didn’t materialise- this was hugely disappointing. There was also a real dearth in staff- it felt quiet

I do think if it had been fully open it would’ve been a great stay

For nearly £300 a night for Dinner, Bed & Breakfast without a pool it didn’t feel like value at all

Cons:

The shower wasn't draining. The ACs in the room were from Stone Age. It took all night to drop room temperature to 22 C. Expensive hotel for the service provided. No early checking despite requests before.
