Motel 6 Fort Bragg, CA

Everything. The room stunk like cigarettes and was very dirty. No towels light bulbs blown out very noisy only sheets on the bed. Air conditioning smelled like cigarettes. Very very dirty.

I stayed in room 139 and our stay was less than pleasant.  We were not aware the pool was going to be closed or that there was construction.  That would have been nice to know. Upon check in neither person was very friendly or helpful. 

One of out key cards would not work and the other we had to swipe multiple times before the door would unlock. The door to the room did not close right and was extremely loud when opening iand closing it.  We had asked one for the room to be cleaned and they did not clean the floors so we had dirty sandy floors the entire time. There was no screen in the bathroom. The TV or wifi was not working very well. 

On our first night we were women up by someone on the phone pasing in front of our door. Last night we were woken at 4:00 am because someone was making a ridiculous amount of noise in the room next to us. There was a different person in that room every time we were out there. So it seemed odd. There was a big gap in the door so it let a lot of light and noise through.

Overall the room was in an array of disrepair.

Alot of noise from construction. The black out curtains did not keep out the lights from outside. Toilet set made fir little people and shower curtain was to small, water got all over the floor.

Bed

TV did not work. We called the office and they could not help us. We asked for a partial discount. The lady said she would have the manager call us. That never happened. We showed her a picture of the antena wire pulled out of the wall. Still no help.

I have stayed at Motel 6 in other locations and they were clean and and comfortable. This motel 6 was under renovation which by itself is not an issue. What is an issue is that the renovation process was haphazard. Our room walls had been repainted but that was all. The glue on the bathroom mirror was shoeing through and the sink had no stopper. There was a leak into the bathtub from the bathroom above-when they showered the water poured into the tub in our rooms bathroom. The room was non smoking but it was quite obvious that someone (s) had smoked in the room as there was a cigarette burn in the vinyl flooring which was not very clean (sticky) and there was a lingering smell of stale smoke. The bed was hard but the pillows were quite comfortable. Electrical outlets were broken and difficult to get to for electronics such as chargers and CPAP. Had corporate made better decisions about how the renovations to the property were carried out, it may have been a much better stay.

Property and room felt dog-eared and worn out...a little rough around the edges. Parking lot needs repaving! Hopefully after current construction projects this property will see improvements.

The restaurant is closed, hopefully they will open it again

The bed was very, very hard & the lady in the laundry room did not want to give out any towels. She was very rude.

I asked for non smoking room but I was given smoking room. The blankets had stain looks dirty and pillow had bad smell.
