Motel 6 Fort Bragg, CA

The bed was broken, pool was still under renovation after 2 year, we had to have staff let us in the room the entire 3rd day because after rekeying the whole place, our door just stopped working, was promised a discount we never saw, old man changed outside our windows. Just an all around poor experience.

Two things: I didn't like that the room had no carpet; the smell was horrible....I attribute this to whatever cleaning chemicals you use. ...those chemical smells almost made me ask for another room.......

Not much. Every hour day or night the TV would go off! No one seemed to care. The bathroom was pretty dirty. I wouldn't have even got in it to shower. Floor was dirty. Not a place I'd stay again!

The price I paid on a holiday weekend was about 4X what the property was worth. The parking lot was unattractive, with lots of sad weeds sprouting in various beds. Room interior was rather bare, with a bed that didn’t even cover the box spring. The plank flooring seemed to be the only upgrade in years, with worn paint on the baseboards and walls.

The room initially looked clean. It’s an old motel that’s had a face lift, paint mostly. Floors were dirty and sticky, the smoke detector was missing from its base, fixtures were rusty, mold on the bathroom ceiling, overall, the staff was friendly, but the property was GARBAGE.

We weren't switched rooms. Staff didn't come visit the room. Just sent my husband with a bottle of toxic spray to rid the smoke smell. It didn't help at all. We couldn't run the heat/ac because the filter was contaminated with smoke and increased a fresh wave of stench when used. Windows have no screens so can't leave windows open to the parking lot.
The doors were stuck in their jams and had to be yanked in and out of position.
The room came with a dirty washcloth under the sink.

However, the room smelled musty and odd. There were dog footprints on the comforter. The room was tidy, but dirty. There was mold/pink grime in the sink and shower drain, in the tub, and on the shower head. The floors felt dirty as well. The fridge didn't keep things very cold.

Booked a non smoking room, the room that we were in said it was non smoking but it had CLEARLY been smoked in. the smell was very bothersome and made it very hard to be in the room. the lock on the window was very loose and could EASILY be knocked off

Unfortunately, the bathroom was not as clean as expected, and the sink was clogged. I noticed the issue late at night while brushing my teeth and, given the late hour, chose not to disturb the front desk. I reported the problem to the staff the following morning. I understand that reporting it immediately may have allowed the issue to be addressed sooner; however, I did not discover the problem until late at night.
