Great Customer Service and Food
Pros:

I regularly take business lunches at the village restaurant. Each and every time I receive outstanding customer service from Lindsay, friendly ,welcoming , attentive, knowledgeable and prompt, the perfect ingredients for an excellent customer facing member of staff. It's why I keep coming here over many restaurants and cafes where I could hold my working lunches at where the service and food is no where near as goodI The Village should be proud .

great service given by all staff . food was excellent hotel was spotless
Pros:

breakfast was very very good indeed great choices .my room was a little disappointing in when walking into it. it looked empty apart from the bed and felt a liitle bit boxed in . but bed very good and had a good sleep. bathroom great and was the best thing in the room . great tray full of coffee tea ect . but my veiw which it said on the booking page wasnt there at all very disappointing . it was just a flat roof. with a long row of doors on a buliding and unfortunately the window was faulty with a awful draft so put a towel along it all the way down it to stop it blowing into the room .. but had a good stay with you . cleaning staff were great on the 2nd floor too. every member was staff i met was a creitd to the hotel lovely and helpfull and they couldnt do enough for you. they made your stay even better . car parks were also very good and plenty of room. thankyou. [ will return again well done to all staff]

Hotel Manager was trying to fight a member of the public
Pros:

Food nice, Starbucks a bonus. But on checkout while having my coffee outside, I noticed the hotel manager, who was American, put his fists up trying to fight someone, who was trying to collect autographs from the Millwall football team. The hotel manager was also directing explicit insults to this man, who in truth, was also directing insults back at the hotel manager. You’d think been a hotel manager though, he’d be aware of his surroundings including the cameras, so you’d think he’d not do anything which would bring the village hotel into a negative spotlight. What the hotel manager did is a sackable offence and I for one, don’t think Millwall football club will use this hotel again because of the managers actions. You want calm, not chaos, which the manager orchestrated. There seemed to be a lot of rage in this managers eyes because people were asking the Millwall players for autographs, who were more than happy to sign autographs too. So this confrontation should have been avoided. He came round as a bit of a jobsworth. Other members of staff were nice especially the lovely woman with blonde hair working at reception today on 7th march 2026. A man in a blue suit accompanied with grey hair was also swearing at this guy, I guess trying to earn bonus points from his senior manager. Other than that, gym was pretty good & the vibe of the hotel is nice and modern, but obviously on checking out it’s not nice on the eyes seeing the village hotel manager trying to fight a member of the public when you have young children with you 🤣

Wonderful staff
Pros:

The rooms are clean, quiet & well equipped.
Always found a parking space & location is fab.
The best part is definitely the staff. The ladies at breakfast & the gym staff were very friendly & helpful. Lindsay is an absolute credit to this hotel. Every single morning she was bright, cheerful & couldn't do enough for me. Each day she asked me if I needed my water bottle filled & offered to wash out my little beaker on top of a busy breakfast service. She knew each guest by name & truly goes above & beyond in her service ❤️

Great stay at Village Hotel Hull
Pros:

I would personally thank Lindsay at breakfast amd this was the best part of my day. Room was lovely and clean and staff were very friendly. My only concern was the windows in my room were not sealing properly and letting in a lot of outside noise. Staff really made the place.
