This hotel was beyond incredible. Amazing service, and they treated us like family. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Amazing food, location, and unmatched service. We will be back! Shoutout to Anna at the rooftop bar, she was awesome and made our mornings extra special!

The place to go. Perfect location, wonderful and charming people making sure that you stay is as wonderful as can be. Fantastic terrasse with a beautiful view (and cute seagulls eager to share a snack with you). Will be back there soon - what else can one say?

This is one of the best hotels in the world.

The Location is perfect, right in the middle of the shopping district but also close to great restaurants and important sites. It was a great base of operations to walk all over the city. Taxis were readily available with a phone call from the staff. Ubers knew where it was.

The Atmosphere is more of a small, top-end residential apartment building than a hotel. It felt like home.

The rooms are bright, luxurious, tasteful and comfortable, with good storage for people who prefer to unpack than to live out of a suitcase. We slept very, very well. The rooms were very efficiently serviced and meticulously cleaned twice a day. For people who like wood floors for reasons of cleanliness and hygiene, the rooms have beautiful wood floors with large, soft area rugs. Aside from the usual mini-bar fridge, the amenities include a microwave and a dishwasher. The bathrooms are spacious and the water pressure excellent. Noise levels are very reasonable considering the narrow streets and the heavy foot traffic. We never felt disturbed by noise from outside. The Ferragamo bathroom amenities are plentiful and suited our skin type. We took some home.

The breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful, with some of the best scrambled eggs and bacon we've ever had.

What made our experience, however, was the staff. 'Pampering' can't fully describe how well they took care of us. We have stayed at some of the most high-end, luxurious properties in the world and, in our lives, we have never felt so, dare I say it, LOVED by a hotel's staff. I would go back just for the welcome we received but everything about this hotel would tempt me back.

As for value, I won't pretend it was inexpensive but our stay was worth every penny we paid.

We came to Rome at the end of our honeymoon. The Portrait Roma is beyond spectacular. The rooms are beautifully appointed with all the luxuries wanted- included a Dyson hairdryer & iron!! The beds are incredible- the sheets and towels divine! The location can't be beat, And the entire staff is incredible!!!! They made us feel so special and at home. When they found out it was our honeymoon they sent more amenities to our room including chocolate, bubbles and a balloon. The staff goes out of their way on everything! Their suggestions are impeccable and we can't wait to return!!!! Thank you Portrait for an incredible experience!

Portrait Roma continues to be my family’s go-to hotel in Rome. It is located close to the Spanish Steps in the heart of the city. The quality of craftsmanship throughout the hotel is exceptional and the services and teams bringing it to life is top-notch. They continue to exceed our expectations every visit. Portrait Roma makes you feel like you’re part of their family while you stay here with them! Truly excellent!

An amazing hotel with unparalleled amenities and stellar customer service.

Do not be put off by the apparent small scope of services in this boutique hotel of 14 rooms. This is a small hotel with a huge heart - expressed through its coterie of concierge , house-keeping, breakfast and rooftop bar staff. Located just off the Spanish Steps, and via Condotti, it could not be better located for central Roma. A special shoutout to hotel manager Gianluca and his amazing staff, for calm assistance to shopping needs of tourists, and a list of restaurants that are well considered and reliable.

The location of Portrait Roma is the finest location in the city of Rome. The atmosphere is intimate, like you're entering your own apartment building, with roomie, well appointed rooms. Breakfast or drinks on the rooftop is spectacular. We will be back soon for a longer stay!

Portrait Roma was an exceptional hotel experience. Professional and friendly staff and attention to every detail made our stay so special.

As we always do when we visit in Rome, my husband and myself stayed at this hotel. It was a short stay of 2 nights, but it was perfect as usual. The room, the staff headed by the hotel’s manager, the facilities. When I try to define what is a real elite boutique hotel, I immediately have in mind this hotel. What a perfect vacation!!!

From the moment we arrived Signore Zaza and his amazing staff treated us like royalty. Their kindness and generosity were unparalleled, they made us feel like family. Every detail was perfect from the exquisite Via Condotti Suite and ultra cool rooftop bar to the birthday cake they surprised us with for our daughter’s 21st birthday. It’s easy to see why they have Forbes 5 star and Michelin ratings. We travel quite a bit and this was the best hotel we have ever experienced.

The staff was so friendly and so helpful. The food, even though they called it “light” was absolutely delicious. The hotel was immaculate and so well located.

The attention to detail by all the staff was simply amazing. Everyone who worked there remembers my name and I mean everyone.

It happened to be my birthday on the day I checked it and they were ready to make it memorable from a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to a birthday cake.

The Conceirge service was also top notch. I was trying to book a restaurant on my own but couldn’t get a table but somehow they could do it.

The rooms were spacious and very luxurious and the complimentary snack counter was so well stocked, I wasn’t able to even try all the snacks on offer.

The location was superb, right smack in the middle of all the luxury boutiques, which is why I booked it in the first place.
