Absolutely the best location, staff, and most comfortable hotel. It is small, chic, and quiet. The roof top was lovely for breakfast and relaxing with a drink.
I will always stay at a Portrait hotel when I travel. I can not thank the staff enough for a wonderful stay in Rome.

My daughter and I had the pleasure of staying at the Portrait Roma in late June 2025 and it exceeded all expectations.
Even before we arrived through our email exchanges we felt well taken care of.
I am still wondering how they knew to provide us with amenities before we even knew we needed them!
For example one evening we went for dinner to a fabulous restaurant recommended by the Portrait team, only to find the most delightful bedtime tea service waiting in our room upon our return.
The breakfast on the roof top was the most delicious of all the breakfasts I had on my trip to Italy trip, and we stayed at 5 different hotels. The staff at breakfast were incredibly friendly and helpful.
The room, the staff, the service, not to mention the location - if they had 6 stars to give you Portrait Roma you would have them all.

Awesome experience. 5 star quality and the atmosphere of a private home in the middle of Rome. The rooms are great quality and the roof terrace is the place to chill after a busy day. Basically an oasis in the middle of the city. Highly recommended.

The Portrait Roma is the best hotel experience I've ever had.
It's more than a hotel, it truly feels like a home with a team dedicated to you, all super talented and original, that are here to assist you have the best time of your life in Rome. The location is the best, the fact that there is no external guests also makes the whole experience unique, and the rooftop terrace and all day pantry and small attentions make it truly memorable. Thanks so much to Gian Luca and the team for these moments, I will forever remember Rome differently now thanks to the Portrait, and will come back for sure.

5 the service and the ambient os excellent providing a perfect private environment for a tranquil time.
The breakfast is espectacular with a greta view and service.
Margarita, Alecia, Tea ara a great complement.
The concierge is spectacular Florentina, Ecem and Sara always manage to find a perfect place to dine and visit and a smile of Phillipo and George always make us Feel at home.

You cannot top the experience at a boutique luxury hotel like this at a large hotel, again some of the best Service we've ever experienced anywhere in the world they just made every aspect of our travel night and day better!

The Portrait Roma is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.The staff are terrific. The hotel is a quiet haven in the centre of the city. The location couldn’t be any better for the sights , for shopping and for restaurants… they are all walkable.
We would never consider staying anywhere else. The rooms are lovely, the breakfasts wonderful and the attention to detail excellent.

Portrait Roma is perfection in Rome. I actually persuade my partner to go to Rome so we can stay here! The room, staff, location and service are impossible to beat. Being only 14 rooms it’s intimate but private at the same time. The lifestyle team will answer all your questions about Rome and are at your disposal while you are there.

What a lovely hotel with such a professional yet personable staff. Our arrival changed due to a personal issue and we arrived after midnight. They were waiting to welcome us and quickly and smoothly ushered us into our rooms. They had food waiting for us as per our request - a perfect caprese salad and delectable fruit plate.Thank you, Jay!!
Throughout our stay no request was too big or too small and the quick communications through whatsapp was efficient and quick. From arranging last minutes guides, spa appointments,restaurant reservations to finding difficult tickets, no request was went unheeded. They seemed to answer almost 24 hours very quickly!! Thank you especially to the Lifestyle Team especially Florentina, Ecem,Simone, Alessia- you are all wonderful and we all appreciated your special efforts to make our trip wonderful.

Location is excellent and all main attractions are within walking distance.
The hustle of bustle is at your doorstep yet the rooms are incredibly quiet!

This was our 6th stay since 2009. Here you are treated like a guest in someone’s home, and not just a number in a busy hotel. The staff is wonderful whether it’s at the included breakfast, the housekeepers, the office or people at the door. Gianluca runs a tight ship and is always around to be sure that you are happy. The hotel is well designed and although near a very busy location, it is very quiet. We are already talking about a return trip in 2026.

We had an amazing experience, the service, the location, everything very clean, spacious room, the food, the staff, the rooftop, the room. Literally everything!

OMG, what an incredible boutique hotel this is and in the middle of all the action. First, we were greeted by these wonderful host who were so gracious from offering cappuccinos to taking us all around the hotel. The room was extremely well acquainted there was nothing missing. It was my birthday and the goodies I got were out of this world. We were even greeted with our favorite cocktails in the room. It was very spacious, well appointed and so modern and chic. Breakfast was an experience as you agreed by the warmest stuff ever. Alessia stole our heart. She loves her like a family because they are incredible to their staff and incredible human beings. Lastly, talk about location. You are in the middle of all the action all the shopping and you can walk to so many restaurants. It’s an experience. My husband and I are making this article go to hotel from here on!
