Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable.
Convenient location. Close to diner.
Good variety of food and was clean
Awful bed with springs that created. The whole floor was sticky, including the bathroom.
A tv for another room was on all night and easily heard in our room.
Great overall experience.
$75 pet fee seems exorbitant. Understand that presence of pet requires extra post-visit cleaning, but $75 worth?
I’ve stayed here multiple times on my way to see family in NorthEast PA. Every single time has been great! Staff, rooms, facilities…all stellar!
Only that I did not have more time to spend there!
Quiet area. Clean. Safe.
Lots of stray cats roaming around.
The location was fantastic, we pulled off and on the highway with no waste of time .
I am french, and I’m a cook, so I tend to be a picky eater. Breakfast wasn’t what I am used to , but I found hard boiled eggs and hot sauce , so I was ok.
vagrants outside panhandling. bed pillows were small and not very comfortable. the backdoor was never locked, which would allow anyone to enter unnoticed.
This is a decent hotel, but a terrible Hampton. The property has clearly been rebranded; the pictures of the outside shown on the website are not what it actually looks like, but you can see what it actually looks like by doing Google Maps streetview. The very first thing I noticed driving up was that the "Hampton Inn" logo/name - normally very prominent in the center of the top of the building - was so small as to be nearly unreadable from the street (and totally off center in the space as well). The entrance is through the side, there is no foyer/lobby seating area, and the check-in desk seemed like an afterthought.
But the worst was the desk staff. There were two young adults staffing the desk who were totally unprofessional and who seemed to have no concept of customer service; they could have just as easily been working the drive through at McDonalds for their attitude and actions. We arrived in the late afternoon and there were no cookies; when I asked about it, one of the young adults giggled as she said, "Oops. I forgot." She came back with the cookies, but had put them backwards in the display platter, so that if you reached through the opening, you had to take the cookie on the bottom. But worst was that after checking in, we went back out to get our things, and as we were passing back through the lobby a minute later, one of us remembered that we hadn't gotten our waters (because of loyalty status). The desk person actually argued with us over the waters, initially refusing to give them to us because they were certain they already had. After multiple turns back and forth, the desk person finally relented and gave us waters.
The hotel was fine, but if you stay at Hamptons because you like Hamptons, skip this one entirely. The diner in front of the hotel, however, was fantastic.
breakfast disappointing
