Present simple hotel but needs upgrading
Pros:

Room clean and comfortable but could do with upgrading. For the price we paid which included a good breakfast we couldn’t complain.

Excellent for a journey stop on way to Orkney. All amenities were there for our needs.
Pros:

Location ideal, central and easy to find. Breakfast was excellent, staff friendly, efficient and helpful. Room was clean and adequate for our overnight stay. We were travelling to Orkney so an ideal stop off. Good value for money.

Cons:

Nothing comes to mind. No complaints.

Hotel is just a bit tired and run down . Bed was comfy enough… breakfast was terrible and I didn’t touch.. coffee was not good… in fact several of my party went to a nearby cafe for a decent coffee…

Pros:

Free parking and location. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly. Provided ice and glasses.

Cons:

Stairs with no lift. Sheets and towels very thin and need to be replaced. No fridge.

Verouderde accomodatie. Jammer van racende auto’s snachts door de straten. Zeer slecht geslapen. Ontbijt inbegrepen maar stond niet klaar.

Fawlty Towers really does exist. Avoid this place.

Cons:

Rude staff that prioritised coach guests over private staying guests - its not our fault there were staff that did not show. No introduction to the hotel on check in, no genuine welcome and no advice to eat early ahead of the coach tours. The Manager also had to be reminded to provide us our key after having asked us to wait until the coach tour group had finished their check in. A different manager also knocked my son clear of a group of people and did not offer an apology or confirm he was ok.
Room was not cleaned properly with wrappers and a soft drink bottle left on the floor.
Beds rock hard and poorly made, exposing bare mattress.
Food average at best. At breakfast we were treated like an imposition, not as a guest.
Did not represent value for money.

The only good thing is the location and free parking

Cons:

Hotel is old and tired. Needs a total upgrade. Our room was very noisy . Security seemed to be non existent.

Gute Unterkunft für eine Nacht für eine Reise entlang der Nordküste
Pros:

Das Zimmer war sehr großzügig, man hatte viel Platz. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Man kann im Hotel auch abends essen oder in der Bar noch Zeit verbringen.

Cons:

Die Parkmöglichkeiten hinter dem Hotel wirkten etwas unsicher und nicht einladend. Wir haben uns daher entschieden das Auto lieber in der Straße vor dem Hotel zu lassen, obwohl wir es morgens umparken mussten.

Pros:

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Very friendly staff and accommodating. Free parking as well. Great for big groups of ppl.

Cons:

The decor is a little tired along with all the fitting and fixtures, the breakfast is included in the price but its a very poor breakfast i would suggest to use some local butchers and get quality ingredients and charge a little more,plus put some pastries out incase ppl dont want a cooked breakfast.
