Room too hot as wall behind bed hot - rotting windows with one piece holding window open - shower didn't work - hairdryer cut out after a minute - bedside lamps had poor connections and as for breakfast staff uninterested - no alternative milks for cereal - food unappetising. Have had to cancel return stay

Needs updating urgently
Almost impossible to reach our room through corridors, steps up and down. Shower didn't close. Door lock didn't shut.
Location for us, there was a bar and restuarant on site.
The bed was uncomfortable, no seating available in the room when i could no longer lie down,. There were coach groups during our stay and they took priority for dining, the restuarant area was not staffed as they were tasked to the dining hall for the groups dinner and breakfast, we managed to get a meal at the bar which was good. For our self drive trip through the north it met a need.
Value for money, comfortable bed, breakfast was ok.
Hotel is very run down, low budget amenities.
The pipes in the hallway in just one part of the floor were boiling hot in mid-June, so the room was also horribly hot and with stale air, made worse by the fact that the windows couldn't be opened.
When we told this to the staff, they just said that the heating will turn off in 30min (around 19:00), but even so, our whole part of the floor was hot throughout the night and in the morning.
Additionally, the WiFi didn't work. Avoid if you want a good night's sleep.

Zimmer war nicht gesaugt, Fenster lässt sich nicht schließen, Kunststoffbettzeug, Badfenster schimmelt, Mini-Fernseher, Bad kein Licht, Frühstücksgeschirr jeden Tag dreckig, Notausgang permanent offen, Innenhof verdreckt, langer Weg zur Rezeption, Dachgeschoss und kein Lift - baulicher Zustand inakzeptabel

Just a decaying hotel
Breakfasts were cereal out of a box, yoghurt out of a carton, eggs, bacon and toast - VERY POOR. No WiFi at all, one young lad Liam was the only positive.
The TV screen in the room is smaller than a PC monitor, the street noise was bad till 3am (granted Scotland had won their first World Cup soccer game) but the noise was hectic.
