Pros:

Everything was fabulous, even though there was the renovation with some noises, but that was ok to deal with, we went to the pool at the back, and it was very peaceful

The fridge in the room was not cool enough; the drinks were Bintang beer too warm,

Amazing stay
Pros:

We spent 5 days and we were extremely happy with our choice. Griya Santrian is a typical  Balinese style resort with absolutely beautiful gardens and statues. The ground staff did an excellent job maintaining the garden on a daily basis.
The location was perfect, right on the beach and walking distance to several restaurants bars and shops. Icon mall is located 5 minutes walk away!!The room was spacious, clean and well presented. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom had a large walk in shower recess. The gardens well absolutely beautiful.
The hotel staff were polite and always greeted us with a smile. They were always efficient and attentive.
The breakfast provided, currently served around the art gallery was wonderful with a great variety of western and indonesian dishes. There is currently a new dining room being built right in front of the beach.
We loved our stay at Griya Santrian and look forward to coming back .

Cons:

The musty smell in the corridors due to lack of ventilation.

Highly recommend - superb location, great ambience!
Pros:

The location is superb - right on the beach and with the boardwalk for morning exercise and easy access to bars, restaurants and Icon Mall. My 2 teenage boys loved the mall and the supermarket in the basement was great for stocking up on snacks. I had read about the resort's pool bar being renovated, but you can still swim in that front pool (and 2 other pools, and the beach!) and the bar under construction was tastefully screened off. Didn't hear any construction noise at all. The resort is small-ish but has a lovely ambience and glorious gardens. Staff very friendly and helpful. We requested 2 rooms close to each other and ended up next door. I had read reviews about breakfast being disappointing, but there was an amazing selection of food - something for everyone! Make sure you request coffee from the coffee machine, not the brewed stuff!

Cons:

One minor thing - the pathways around the buildings are made of stones that are set apart, so in the early morning you could hear the wheels of the gardeners' carts clonk, clonk, clonking along, but the gardens are BEAUTIFUL!
