Well located on the beach. Very clean. Great breakfast and close walk to local shops and restaurants.
Breakfast was the standard I would expect from a hotel of this calibre. Good selection of foods, but I would’ve liked more choice of drinks. There was the usual tea and coffee, but only two different juices and water.
There was black mould in the shower that was never cleaned the whole time I was there. The mini fridge in the room didn’t work and I had to ask twice to have it exchanged. I had to ask for a mobile towel rack. Every other room had one, but I didn’t. You shouldn’t have to ask for something that is standard. The TV didn’t work at all. I don’t go to Bali to watch TV/Netflix, so it didn’t really bother me, but other people might not like that the TV didn’t work. They were constructing a new restaurant at the beach end of the hotel and the view of the beach was obstructed. Of course they don’t tell you this when you book. If they did, you wouldn’t book! When you pay a high price for a hotel on the beach, you expect to be able to see the beach. That was extremely disappointing.
We have stayed at Griya Santrain many times and we are always very happy and we will stay there again. Lovely rooms, friendlt staff, great central location.

We stayed at this resort for what was meant to be five days, but ended up leaving after three.
The location is definitely a highlight right on the beach and within easy walking distance of plenty of bars, shops, and restaurants. Icon Mall is also just a five-minute walk away, which was really convenient.
The room itself was huge, clean, and very comfortable, with an especially large bed. The resort grounds were beautiful as well, with lovely gardens, and there was regular evening entertainment along the beachfront, including live music.
Our experience was let down by several issues. At check-in, we were asked to provide a credit card for room charges. We explained that we prefer not to use a credit card due to a previous scam experience in Bali, but felt judged and treated as though we didn’t have the means to pay. We ended up providing a 1 million IDR cash deposit instead, which was accepted without issue.
Service was inconsistent throughout our stay. Some staff members were rude, and at times we were ignored when trying to order food or drinks, even when it was clear we were waiting. Service was also very slow.
Breakfast was another area that could use improvement, as the quality and variety didn’t meet expectations.
Overall, while the location and facilities have a lot of potential, the service and overall experience didn’t live up to expectations, which ultimately led us to cut our stay short.

The pools are excellent. Great location in a convenient area of Sanur. We could walk to everything we wanted or take a short taxi ride for no more than 34k IDR. The staff are very helpful and always have time to talk and help.
We changed rooms. Our first room (suite} should have had a large double bed and a sofa bed. It did not have a sofa bed, only a baby cot. The bathroom plumbing was either broken or difficult to use. Our second bathroom was better although the toilet seat was old and the surface was discolored and peeling.
Basically the same breakfast buffet each day.

Location is the best thing about this hotel . Very central to everything.
Some staff not very friendly . Checkin was not a smooth experience. Checked In told to come back at a certain time as room not ready . Back at time room not ready . After a little while walked up to our room and It was ready . Considering we had a key . Let ourselves in . Had to request bags . Never received pool card . Phone was not marked and no book in room with instructions. Tv wasn’t working . The breakfast was very average compared to other places we have stayed at same price range .
We were not told about renovations down by the beach. The noise at main pool not enjoyable because of construction. The place would benefit by having pool service for food and drinks instead of having to chase down people at the bar . The reason we booked here was to have breakfast by the beach but not possible . This may seem harsh but have been coming to bali forever and stayed at many diff places . I prefer honest reviews by others . So I do the same .
Proximity to Icon, loved being in that part of Sanur. Would definitely stay here again. The coffee was awesome 👌, food great, no complaints.

Loved the location and walkability of the area. Great access to cafes and resturants and shopping options. Beautiful gardens and traditional balinese architecture. Lovely upgraded room. Staff are lovely and attentive.

I really enjoyed my stay at this resort. The location was perfect — right on the beach, which made it super relaxing and easy to enjoy the ocean whenever I wanted. The rooms were a great size, very clean, and the shower was big which I loved. The breakfast buffet was definitely a highlight, with lots of options and really good quality food.
When I asked the activity staff about snorkeling, they didn’t seem very knowledgeable or there may have been a bit of a language barrier, so it was a little hard to get clear information so didn’t end up booking for anything
