A quiet comfortable stay
Pros:

The room was very clean and comfortable. One small observation, although we booked a private a suite, when we entered we found it has a connecting room which is assured to be locked. However, it was not sound proof! The people in the reception was very friendly. We were amazed by Taj's effort of preserving the ancient handicraft tradition of Varanasi. The wooden toy shop is a must visit for the connoisseur of arts.

Cons:

The dining area has fly problems - we indicated it several times. A staff in charge of the morning buffet (Mandiraji) behaved quite rudely. We ordered for two sunny side eggs and it took more than 30 minutes to reach in spite of several reminders.
