Oh my days, its beautiful. Abi on reception is absolutely " fab " my grandsons words.
He oved her, she is an Amazing host. Also the housekeeper for kindness.. I could have stayed there forever.
Genuine lovely Staff.
Amazing place and Jesmond Dene Falls beautiful.
We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay in this beautiful hotel. The surroundings are lovely, the staff are both friendly and professional and the accommodation and the food are high-quality. It is a very relaxing place to stay and proved to be a great base for exploring the area from the city of Newcastle to the coast beyond, Hadrian’s wall and Hexham inland.
Beautiful hotel in a large, attractive garden close to huge wooded area around the Ouseburn river with lots of paths to explore. The easy short walk to Ilford Road Metro station was a bonus. Room was a large double and very comfortable, especially given the reasonable price. Staff are professional, welcoming and very helpful - thanks to Abby for giving us some background history on the house. Food was of a high standard and served by well-trained waiting staff. The breakfasts were just about the best we’ve had in any hotel. Good to have access to a pleasant bar area and a large lounge.
Nothing.
It is a beautiful property that has been maintained to a very high standard
This hotel is so peaceful. It is a lovely oasis just outside the city, with a calm relaxing and cosy atmosphere. A really gorgeous stay.
The bed, although large, was two singles zipped together. At times it was difficult to find bar staff to get a coffee or drink to the room, either in person or on the phone.
I had a very enjoyable stay in the Jesmond Dene House. The staff were so helpful and friendly especially Abby and Nicole. They couldn’t do enough to help. The hotel is fabulous. Can’t recommend it enough.
When I visit my daughter in Newcastle, I love to visit Jesmond Dene House for tea. My daughters thought breakfast would be a nice Mother’s Day treat. We arrived for our 10.30am booking and was rudely informed that our booking had been moved to 8.30am and we were late!! We politely informed the manager that we had made the 10.30am booking by telephone and it had been confirmed. She informed us that had we booked online she could have contacted us! No apology was offered. The manager continued to be strident and in the end, we were the offered breakfast in the bar area. So disappointed with this hotel.
Luckily Hotel du Vin continues to provide excellent service so we did have a lovely Mother’s Day breakfast in the end.
Staff nice very clean
No charger for car working
Staff are so friendly and professional, the room was spotless and has absolutely everything you would need. The food and service are top class. Very quiet and a great night’s sleep.
Nothing
Breakfast was very good, i thought the dinner ok but a little expensive for the portion size.
As i was travelling for work an earlier breakfast would have been better
Comfortable elegance
Location excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely gardens and great food
The bed was very hard
I met my son who is studying - we had an excellent evening meal and breakfast.
Beautiful historic building and location, on-site parking, and an easy walk to metro or Newcastle town centre. Lovely staff. Abby was particularly helpful.
Great bath but had to be a slight contortionist to reach the bolted-to-wall soap.
The price and room.
Location, appearance, staff and breakfast was fantastic
Slamming heavy doors next to our room maybe need soft closers
Breakfast was good
Room was quiet
Parking no problem
Shower wasn't great
Water didn't drain properly from bath or sink
