This place is a hidden gem! After a few nights at a crappy hotel in pismo we stumbled across Avila beach on our hunt for tide pools to explore. Laura at the front desk made an improptu extra night at this beautiful beachfront hotel possible. She was so friendly and accommodating and went out of her way to make us happy ❤️ we could hear the ocean all night and even in mid July the weather was gorgeous and we were able to sit all day on the beach. Such a cute town…we will absolutely be back and will stay at Lighthouse again :)

Avila beach is the best place to visit near the ocean. Avila Lighthouse was the best hotel o have ever stayed with my family. Nice, great breakfast, close to beach and restaraunts, and great staff. Best vacation I have ever had .
We hadn't been to Avila Beach previously. Pleasantly surprised how nice the area was.
Breakfast could be a little better. It's great that it's included. It looked like the hot food was on warmers but I commented daily that the food was not hot, not sure I'd even call it warm. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give the food served a 5. If it could get to a 7-7 1/2 that would be a welcome improvement.
Location, ambiance, and beautifully appointed rooms. We went on a holiday weekend and an upgraded room so it was pricey. Come on a weekday is less expensive. Close to lots of shops and restaurants. (walking distance)
Beautiful property, smooth check in
The elevator didn’t go up to our floor in room 212, so had to carry heavy stuff down a small set of stairs. Not a huge deal

'Everything was wonderful; the room size was good for our family of Six. The beach was just in front of us and the views was awesome! the only thing i could complain about is the price, for me a little pricey but thats kind of what you get for paying for beachfront. But overall the stay here made our little vacation getaway nice and we would do it again.
the price
We had a very large suite (104) that comfortably accommodated 3 adults and one child. We especially liked the easy access to the beach and the pool area. We also appreciated the family friendly atmosphere, the lawn games and availability of beach chairs. I also really liked the coastal cottage design of the hotel. Front desk personnel received us very warmly and were always very responsive to questions and/or needs. We certainly appreciarted that breakfast is included.
The breakfast room felt chaotic. The traffic flow really needs improvement. It does not work to have dish ware under the counter especially where the waffle machine and cereal are located. That area was always congested, people were having to reach in front of others and under to reach dishes and bowls, people would place their plates with food in front of the cereal while waiting for the waffle machine...also, the yogurt and fruit bar is not well placed, too close to the front door and the waffle machine, it was difficult to get around people in this area.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Avila Lighthouse Suites, along with our dog. The checkin was quick and easy, our dog even received a goodie bag with treats! Our room was great, with a fantastic view of the ocean, very spacious and clean. My husband loved the pillows on the bed, they were so comfy. Avila Beach is a great, sleepy beach town and was great for us to relax and unwind.
