Heel fijn hotel op loopafstand van de stad.
Pros:

Netjes, schoon, gerieflijke kamer met alles wat je nodig hebt, incl koelkastje.

Cons:

Dat je voor parkeren moet betalen (al was dat niet heel erg)

die Lage, der Service an der Rezeption, das gute Frühstück

Cons:

Nicht gefallen ist vielleicht der falsche Ausdruck; das Personal in der Hotelbar/Restaurant war überfordert, was sicherlich nicht an der Anzahl der Gäste lag. Der sehr junge, nette Kellner, der sich große Mühe gab, hatte keinerlei Fachwissen, was Getränke und das Essen betraf.
Sicherlich war das nicht der Fehler des Azubis (gehe davon aus, dass es ein Auszubildender war) sondern vielmehr der des ausbildenden Personals. Einfach junge Leute an die "Front" zu schicken ohne sie vorher auf ihr Arbeit vorzubereiten, sollte in einem vier Sterne Haus nicht vorkommen.
Ärger bei den Gästen und Frust bei dem Personal dürfte die Folge sein.
Das es geht, wurde ausdrücklich beim Frühstück gezeigt, Personal hervorragend und zuvorkommend, Speisen auch tip-top.

Wir denken gern an unseren Aufenthalt in Emden zurück, insbesondere auch an die Restaurantbesuche.
Pros:

sehr gut gefallen hat uns der gesamte Service- Bereich, immer hilfsbereit und freundlich

Cons:

die Zufahrt vom Hotel zum Außenparkplatz ist für Rollator-Nutzer ungeeignet

Freundlicher Empfang. Sehr gute Matratzen. Kopfkissen zur Auswahl. Genügend Steckdosen. Gutes Licht am Bett zum Lesen. Genügend Schrankraum. Der Tresor kinderleicht zu bedienen. Dusche großzügig mit Ablagemöglichkeit. Frühstücksangebot gut allerdings auf engstem Raum. Aufmerksame Bedienung und Kaffeekanne am Tisch.

Cons:

Frühstückszeiten am Wochenende leider nur bis 10 Uhr!!! In der Woche war es sehr entspannt - am Wochenende sehr unruhig.
Stau vor der Butter/Margarine - vielleicht zum Schluss auf den Teller nehmen. Sonst ein gutes Angebot. Brötchen ein bisschen zu groß. Müsliangebot sehr gut.
Außenparkplätze meistens besetzt und auch eng. Zur Parkgarage können wir nichts sagen.
Haben glücklicherweise immer gegenüber der Einfahrtsstraße zum Hotel einen Parkplatz ergattern können (ohne Bezahlung).

Loved our 5-day stay
Pros:

Staff: always there, with a smile, to help efficiently. Breakfast: extremely varied. Pleasant green outlook from Restaurant. In-house restaurant: used once, enjoyed. Also booked a ‚ceremony‘ to learn about traditional East Frisian tea. We got a room upgrade to a family one, with more space and a bright outlook, which was lovely. If our travels take us back to the area, we‘d definitely return to the Upstaalsboom hotel!

Cons:

The bathroom was a little small given the big room, but did have quite good storage facilities. We reported a couple of house keeping problems (eg a sticking door to the room) and are sure they would have been addressed by now. Maybe some people (like one of us) would‘ve enjoyed a smoother, thinner pillow.

War nichts außergewöhnliches !

Cons:

Frühstück zwar viel da, wurde aber am Montag stark reduziert. Weniger Vielfalt !
Die Brötchen waren schlecht, Geschmacklos aufgebacken. Wurde beim Personal bemängelt. Ohne Reaktion außer: die kämen vom Bäcker!
Kein Klimaanlage. Keine 4 Sterne wert!!!

Cons:

Das sogenannte "Kleine Zimmer" war ein Einzelzimmer, dass als Doppelzimmer verkauft wurde. Das Bett wurde 30cm von der Wand gezogen, um der 2.Person die Möglichkeit zu geben sich ins Bett zu legen. Dadurch konnte die Tür nicht mehr geschlossen werden.
Nach Intervention wurde das Zimmer in ein "normales" Doppelzimmer getauscht.
