Beautiful location, great food, very good service
Beautiful looking building with a grand entrance, once inside it contained to be as grand, spa facilities we re very good , both bar areas comfortable and welcoming but best of all was the restaurant staff. Very attentive, polite and a great sense of humour but always very professional.
The building, the bar areas , the spa and the restaurant.
We lived our short stay
Excellently run ! Staff very polite!
The hotel and spa are stunning. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The beds are comfortable and of good size. The room had tv, safe and mini fridge which was supplied with complimentary bottles of water. The room had tea/coffee making facilities.
Breakfast was included in my booking. You get a choice of a lovely cooked breakfast, or continental if you prefer that choice. For extra, you can book pancakes or eggs benedic. The breakfast room is lovely and spacious, and you don't feel cramped in with the other dining guests. Hot tea or coffee brought to your table. Good selection of fruit and fruit juice also. My son is autistic and is very fussy about where and what he eats. He enjoyed the breakfast, which is a bonus for me to not have extra worry on where I can take him to eat. My son also enjoys the pool at the spa section of the hotel. This is also included in the price of the booking.
The only thing I can fault it the pillows. There are far too soft for me. I like a really firm pillow, but that is a preference of mine.
Room was excellent - very clean - staff friendly and helpful
one of the best hotels I hotels I have ever stayed in .. and i have travelled around the world .
everything was exceptional
Fabulous property
Some items in the room were looking tired
Rooms were fine, Bar was nice
Pool is very busy. It is used as a Day Spa by the general public, You can't use it for a minute after check out time
Really more of a wedding venue
The staff were very helpful during our stay. Room was well sized, clean and the meals we had were excellent.
Nothing
Beautiful building . Lovely staff, friendly and always make you feel comfortable.
Value for money first of all. A few things can be amended like the food . Food is under the standard of the place. The bathroom needs a repair on toilet flush, and the sink cleaned better. Around the tap had black bits. For the money you paid for one night , I was expecting better. Lovely Drawing room but unfortunately had black cobweb up to the ceiling between curtains and walls.
Hotel is amazing, paid for upgrade, room fantastic
Room had 2 single beds pushed together which was very uncomfortable didn't expect this after paying for upgrade
This is a stunning property in a beautiful setting. The communal areas are stylish, classy and really calm and the overall atmosphere is both impressive and inviting. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable but pretty outdated [the hotel did call us on the day to offer a discounted upgrade].
There are some rough edges, based on the short stay, with a property positioned at the higher-end. Check-in was busy and there was, initially, just one person working. The 'welcome desk' at breakfast was unmanned for several minutes [shout-out though to Ben who was excellent] - and the hot selection was virtually empty, with people having to stand around and wait for selections to be replaced quite slowly. These are small things but they are less acceptable in a "four-star luxury" hotel.
