Short and pleasant stay. The Studio I stayed in was roomy and very comfortable. Would stay again.

Close to the DuPont Circle metro station

Cons:

Elevators were too small. Barely fits a luggage cart, more than 4 people is uncomfortable and felt dangerous. Waited over 10 minutes for an elevator that wasn’t at capacity. Staircase signs should be more visible

Pros:

The staff was courteous, the decor beautiful and our breakfast delicious.

Cons:

The cost of the valet parking was very high, especially after you add all the extra taxes. I can't imagine staying more than 1 night at that price.

Everything we needed was there and if not they worked to accommodate us quickly.
Pros:

The vibe of the hotel was modern and vibrant. The location was safe and there were lots of restaurants. We especially loved Z's Burgers, The food at the restaurant was excellent and we had great waiters. And there is a very cozy and relaxing bar area for spending time with your group. The valet was quick when we asked for our car and they were very polite.
I needed to change rooms due to my husband's disabilities (I picked the wrong one) and they quickly found a suite for us that met all our needs! It was huge and very clean.

Cons:

The temperature in the halls was hot, but it was 103 degrees outside.

Bruce and His Team Made Me Feel Right at Home
Pros:

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Sonesta, and I can’t say enough great things about Bruce and the entire staff. From the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel genuinely welcome. The customer service was exceptional friendly, professional, and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed.

Bruce truly stands out as an incredible leader. His dedication to guest satisfaction is evident in the way he interacts with both guests and his team. You can tell he takes pride in creating a positive environment, and it shows throughout the entire hotel.

The staff consistently greeted me with a smile, responded quickly to any questions, and made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. It’s rare to find a team that works together so seamlessly while making every guest feel valued.

If you’re looking for a hotel where you’ll be treated with kindness, respect, and outstanding hospitality, I highly recommend the Sonesta. Thank you, Bruce, and the entire team, for making my stay such a memorable one. I look forward to staying here again in the future!

Location. Big rooms. Original design when it was fresh. THIS HOTEL'S SERVICE AND MAINT MANAGER NEEDS TO BE FIRED...
When I was asked at the check-out if my stay was great and i said it was less then ideal for a number of issues, i was promised by the front desk to have an upsale charge removed. It never happened, like the rest of the promises described below...

Cons:

Hotel is dirty... The air conditioner smells like dirty socks in the rooms. You request service, it doesnt happen the same day, some dont happen at all... I showed up to the hotel and the first room I was given smelled bad, VERY BAD, i mean really bad... they moved me but the same result in room number 2... except that this room also had half-falling-off blinds (which I immediately requested fixed circa 5 pm but didnt get serviced till the next day (same for the flickering lights in the bathroom which gave me a headache))... In the 3 nights that i was there I never got the slippers I asked for upon arrival on day 1... The housekeeping didnt show up even though I requested it in person to the maid and to the front desk. Room service closes earlier than the restaurants? WHAAAT? Isnt the whole point of the room service to eat in the room when restaurants are closed?! I had no choice but to eat a hot dog from the corner bodega at 10 pm. There is also a suspiciously looking shwarma place on the other corner that seems to be also open to "save" hungry residents of this hotel... And how come a 3-star Best Western in Warsaw can put a robot vacuum in the hallways to keep them neat but ROYAL Sonesta cant and keeps hallways tidy?

Cons:

Nuestra experiencia en este hotel fue muy decepcionante. Llegamos alrededor de las 2:30 p. m. sabiendo que el check-in era a las 4:00 p. m. y entendíamos perfectamente que la habitación aún no estuviera lista. Sin embargo, el recepcionista que nos atendió fue extremadamente prepotente, descortés y poco profesional. Al preguntarle si podíamos utilizar la piscina mientras esperábamos, nos respondió de forma tajante que estaba prohibido. Más tarde, otra recepcionista y el propio gerente confirmaron que esa información era incorrecta y que sí podíamos utilizar las instalaciones, por lo que perdimos ese tiempo innecesariamente por una información errónea. Además, a las 4:00 p. m. nuestra habitación seguía sin estar disponible, mientras observábamos cómo otros huéspedes recibían sus habitaciones. Finalmente nos la entregaron a las 4:40 p. m., después de varias reclamaciones. Lo más grave no fue el retraso, sino la actitud del personal de recepción, la falta de transparencia y el trato recibido. Viajamos con frecuencia y esperamos un nivel de servicio acorde con un hotel de esta categoría. Lamentablemente, esta ha sido una de las peores experiencias de atención al cliente que hemos tenido.

The restaurant and front desk and door men staff were so friendly!

Cons:

I forgot to tell you my refrigerator was too warm
And even after maintenance was called our ac was not working properly. It was 75 in my room and I could not get it cooler.

Pairs Dupont Circle address with great auto access.
Pros:

Great location -- a couple of blocks off of Dupont Circle but with *excellent* driving access, because Rock Creek Park has both north and south-bound entrances from P Street.

Staff were quite nice & helpful -- front-desk, restaurant, and others.

Room was affordable and generously sized

Cons:

Poor room layout -- large amounts of unoccupied space yet only a tiny desk, no sitting area/comfortable chairs, and so on. While not terrible, room decor not to our taste.

Our room also had fewer windows and more supporting columns than in published pictures; however the front desk staff gave us a corresponding price discount without demur
