Gorgeous setting..
Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of options including fresh fruit, cereals and pastries, and a whole honeycomb
We only had dinner there once. It wasn't great and was expensive. Better to go into Franschhoek itself where there are many excellent eateries

Beautiful hotel. Fantastic service. Great location.

Easy check in with a nice cool glass of fizz on arrival - the shuttle bus was excellent for going into town and so easy to arrange a pick up for return journey the drivers were very helpful and easy to talk to.
As a previous resident said we had to get evacuated on the evening of the 19th due to the fires getting closer - not easy to find accommodation late in the evening for everyone but it was achieved and put us at ease.
We got a change of villa within the grounds and the staff were constantly making sure the villas with residents were not in danger.
The breakfasts and dinner we had were of a good standard with plenty choice.
Was such a shame the area was effected by the smell and haze of the smoke but all out of the hotels control - hopefully the rest of the season goes well for the staff.
Stay safe.

Great pool area.
We checked in late on Tuesday 19th and had a lovely check in with sparkling wine on arrival. The hotel was beautiful and contemporary and we had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the pool and we were really looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately due to the fires raging in the mountains 5km away we had the fire sprinklers operating on the thatched roof of the hotel and helicopters overhead. A couple of hours later the winds had changed and the fire had travelled 3km nearer so we had to be evacuated. I cannot fault the professionalism and calmness of the staff who seamlessly transferred us to another hotel. We felt totally safe and were given regular updates until we left. Hopefully we will get to return to this hotel another time and I would definitely recommend based on staff alone!
Location very nice . Breakfast ok service poor at first
Improved
Breakfast room and communal parts in need of refurb
The rooms were really nice and the grounds were fantastic and gave the kids place to run and play. The location made things nice to just relax and be quiet.
Hot breakfast options were pretty limited and could be a bit more open
Beautiful location and views

We stayed in room 78. No bedisde table on one side of the bed. We had to change room late at night after we had unpacket due to lack of hot water. They should have checked the broken geyser before checking us in room 72.
Wunderschönes Hotel, aufmerksamer Service, tolles Frühstück. Auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen.
Very beautiful hotel. We were fortunate to have the balcony rooms overlooking the town and hills. Stunning to sit and have a morning coffee or sundowner.
The bedroom & bathroom was large & well equipped.
We used the laundry service too and that was quick and well priced .
Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.
Hotel grounds are lovely and the pool area is nice although it was too cold for us in November.
The hotel is a little out of the town but the shuttle service is excellent and very regular so we had no issues getting back and forth.
A really lovely place.
