Have stayed here many times, mainly for convenience. The staff is always pleasant and helpful if there's any issue with the room. The rooms are outdated, and still have a smoke smell even though it's been smoke free for several years. Most rooms I have been in have stained carpet. Everything in the room is functional though. I always leave before breakfast, but can get a "sacked breakfast" if I ask for it when I check in. Nothing special, but better than nothing when you don't have time to stop anywhere to get something in the morning. Generally, the rooms are as clean as they can be, considering the age of everything. Due to the convenient location, will stay here again. Hopefully the owner will be able to start updating the facility one day soon.
Location is saving grace. Site description not accurate. Desk is not 24 hrs—closes at 11pm-7am. Breakfast is now a bag with 2 items-smallest container of apple juice and small fruit cup. Hall carpet worn and dirty. Every nite our key didn’t work and needed rekeyed. Every day despite a sign “do not enter” the maid came in spread the bed and turned the air conditioner off so room was 90 degrees. We knew it was not a 5 star hotel…however nonworking key every night and entering a room asking for privacy is not acceptable.
We stayed at Wesley Inn because we had a critical patient at Wesley Hospital.
We stayed 2 nights & pretty sure it is exactly the same everything as it was when I stayed here in the 70’s & 80’s for the same reason.
I don’t care what it looks like it because it’s all about location.
What makes me angry is had to re-key our key both nights & after putting out do not disturb both mornings & asking at the front desk to not clean they came in our room anyway! Also, turned off the air—- it’s 85 degrees now & it is not cooling off.
I will drive across town from now on!
Poor listening skills
Good toallow late checkin
Look out of my room for an hour during their closing time with no phone to call the # they give you. Wi-Fi still acting up, this is the 3rd time they Wi-Fi has been acting up. An to top it all off which is not surprising they act like they don't give a damn. Customers inconvenience means nothing to them I see. Guess I will find another hotel.
The property is near the hospital which makes it convenient. But understand that it is a dated property, not the cleanest hotel, & the breakfast is minimal at best. The price is reasonable, but understand that you get what you pay for... don't expect much.
Phones in the room do not work. The coffee pot is the wrong size and overflows. No wake-up calls. Breakfast was a joke! Only a granola bar and a juice big enough to fill up the stomach of a five-year-old!
It was quite, and very clean
We didn’t get to stay there because you forgot to cancel the 1st 2 nights on Sunday and Monday since we didn’t need it until Tuesday night through Thursday. We couldn’t stay there because we didn’t show up on that Sunday. You need to call them because we couldn’t stay there. You need to refund our money!
Very convenient location with easy access
There needs to be some updating on the room and new mattresses. The beds are worn out.
Being right across the street from the hospital made the location wonderful since I was with my hospitalized sister. Price wasbest in the area. Room very comfortable and quiet. I wish there had been a warm breakfast a few days a week rather than a grab and go breakfast every day. It gets expensive to eat out every day breakfast, lunch and dinner although there are several locations within walking distance. All in all a great stay.
Was close to hospital that i was having surgery at
I booked a hotel with breakfast yet breakfast wasn’t available adding an extra $60.00 expense.
Stained and torn bedding.
Mattress completely broken down, should be discarded. Bedding in horrible condition.
Wall patched and unfinished. Water damage all about the room.
Carpet in terrible condition.
Room had awful smell.
I arrived from out of town 20 minutes till three I was told I could not check in until 3 o’clock. I said all that broke down furniture in the lobby and waited till straight up 3 o’clock..
The air conditioning unit sounded horrible. I don’t think the room was cleaned properly. Found a sock by the bed that looked like it had been there for a while. Bedspread made me and my dog itch all night, don’t know if it was the soap or hadn’t been cleaned.
The hotel is right next to Wesley hospital which was super convenient. However it is not a comfortable place to stay. The lobby bathroom was broke. No lids for the coffee cups. Beds were like sleeping on cardboard that was about to fold in half and the pillows were so worn out we had to go buy some. The halls and rooms were super hot. We turned on the ac and got the room cooled but while we were gone during the day they went in and shut it off so when we got back it was super hot again. Wouldn’t be a place I would choose to stay but for the convenience of hospital access we made it work
Although listed there was no continental breakfast. The fan in the HVAC unit was extremely loud--if I could not remove my hearing aids it would have been intolerable. No front desk service 11pm to 7 am. Did do maid service without request.
The hotel was good; it is kind of old, but clean and good enough for one night stay.
