Spacious, comfortable room. Excellent shower, very clean and a nice , firm bed. bed.
Very impressed with all of the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful.
On the downside the rooms are very dated, carpets and need decorating, plus really tatty net curtains and falling off one window.
The main areas were okay, but bedroom was disappointing.
The car park was safe enough
The roon was clean and comfortable the bathroom could do with updating
We had a wonderful stay at the Woodbury Park Hotel. The room was quiet and we had a balcony overlooking the golf course. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The room was well maintained and comfortable. The food was excellent too.
Clean, welcoming hotel. Lovely spa, but could do with more sun loungers. Otherwise very nice stay for the night.
Yes very good
On the plus side;
Beds & Linens
Bathroom & Shower
Setting
Pool & Spa all fantastic.
I found the restaurant logistics somewhat odd though having to reserve a table even though it was empty and then having the bill brought to my table with card machine and asked to pay before the food had even arrived. Food was good though.
The clubhouse food also good but menu there is quite limited.
Overall great value for money albeit the decor could do with a spruce up as looking a little tired in lots of places.
More staff needed in the atrium restaurant in the evenings. Poor girl was run off her feet going bar, taking orders, serving food, clearing tables and trying to obtain drinks from a bar that wasn’t stocked.. Rach. Your a credit to the team
Lovely clean room, nice spa, great service
Everything was lovely apart from the food. Breakfast was just ok, not enough fruit and having to fetch everything to your table was annoying. I had one evening meal (chicken breast on flatbread) and it was poor - chewy chicken and very hard flatbread. On the plus side my room was comfortable and warm with a lovely view.
Nice views
Fantastic stay - facilities wonderful, excellent room (loved the balcony) very clean, wonderful outlook, friendly staff.
Lovely setting, tasty food and great room
Cleanliness and food, dining staff were extremely busy and looked to be short staffed
Lovely hotel in a peaceful and picturesque setting but only a short drive into Exeter.
Room had everything I needed and very comfortable. Pool and Spa area are amazing.
The only slight negative was the onsite restaurant, although food quality was very good the menu itself was quite limited and there wasn’t really anywhere else close by to eat in the evening.
Third time visiting and staying at the hotel and on this occasion, left feeling pretty underwhelmed.
Location and facilities remain a huge positive, but staff and general service was poor and not to the standard experienced at the hotel in the past.
Staff on reception were particularly unfriendly and un-attentive. An ongoing issue with key cards was annoying, as is the need to collect towels for swimming from the main hotel reception rather than the reception at the swimming pool/gym.
We stayed in one of the lodges which we’d stayed in previously. This time, we found it to be very tired and not in the best condition. Loads of cobwebs and dead spiders in the corners of rooms and around light fittings - although bathrooms and kitchen was very clean.
It was a nice getaway very relaxing me and my wife had a very nice large suite we will go again
Fine if you need to be in the area. Very dated hotel, pretty terrible breakfast.
Room was lovely, nice big suite with excellent shower and big comfy bed.
Reception staff were not welcoming and were disinterested.
Hotel restaurant was out of service for the women's French rugby team, and will be for a month, so we ate dinner at the golf club. It was comparable to Wetherspoons food, but at golf club prices.
Similarly, no room service was available.
Breakfast buffet was not available - so usually-free picky bits like toast, cereal and juice we had to pay for at the golf club and wait 20 minutes for.
The pool, sauna, hot tub and steam room were lovely.
This was given as a gift.was not allowed to book a table in the main restaurant, despite several emails saying to book a table so I rang but was told we could not eat here -so we were obliged to eat in the other one. My wife had a Coconut Curry, the rice was barely warm and could not taste the coconut in it, “chef” came past the table so we told him about it but he was disinterested & walked away £16 wasted.i had a jacket potato & to be honest we would have been better served going to Wetherspoons.
We were not aware that the pool would be so crowded with children.
The room was reasonably clean but tired, the menus in the room were grubby & stained. The noise of the pipes plus the noisy room above us was unacceptable. Therefore we did not have a restful night. This was relayed to reception in the morning - “I will pass that on”was her reply.
Therefore I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Lovely from start to finish.
