Spa facilities were nice

Cons:

Undergoing refurbishment works so was a temp gym but drilling noise from 9am to about 6:30pm as a result. Room was hot no air con.

Pros:

Lovely big hotel in picturesque grounds. The check in was nice and easy, and reception team were very helpful.

The view from the bar/clubhouse was lovely

Cons:

Our room was internal with the window over the breakfast area, due to this we couldn't open the window and, even with the air-conditioning and fan it was really hot. Something to be aware of when booking.

The staff in the bar/clubhouse seemed quite confused a lot. A few times there were 4 or 5 of them behind the bar and they couldnt workout who was serving.

Pros:

The location was beautiful. Bedrooms were comfortable and enjoyed the welcome pack in the lodges.

Cons:

There were quite a few cobwebs - especially on the outside furniture. When we checked in there was no walk through where anything was, how things worked or what utilities were available.

We were not told to buy additional toilet rolls when we ran out or whether the lodges were serviced.

The lodges were very noisy in the mornings with creaky floor boards upstairs (main living area) and loud toilet flushes and showers.

Nice hotel and location but very noisy and restaurant/bar disappointing

Renovations going on causing noise - we were not informed on booking or arrival and no other room was available
This hotel was very noisy and we were unable to book dinner at the requested time but the restaurant was quite empty! - made no sense
Restaurant/bar staff weren’t really consistent with drinks or orders.

Good location to stay. Food & front of house staff have room for improvement
Pros:

Great location. Leisure facilities were great.

Cons:

Our restaurant food was not too good, however the lady who served our meal was friendly.

Main reeception staff during check in & check out were not so welcoming & uninterested. Have received friendlier welcomes & departures at supermarket checkouts.

location, staff friendliness

Cons:

no airconditioning in 35c ! a small fan in the room and one room out of 5 booked had no fan at all!
no fridge in the rooms and i could not store cold water or my insulin,
water taps were separate rooms sanitary ware needs upgrade
my room carpets were worn out.
