The Telford Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort

First spa day at the hotel it was lovely, my 2 Elemis treatments by Caitlin were 5 star, the light lunch was pleasant and pool area nice atmosphere. The area that needed attention hence 4 star review not 5 was the female changing area it needed a good clean. It had very dirty skirting boards and a large amount of dust and hair swept into the corner in walk in area. Showers we in need of a clean and all tissue boxes were empty. This may have been the time of day 1pm but spa treatment and lunch area was spotless. Overall a lovely day just tweaks needed to improve the spa day experience.

Spent £200 on a room for Valentine’s Day and got put in a room with a queen size bed. Spent £50 on afternoon tea, which for what you got was daylight robbery, and the bread was stale. Avoid this! We also paid £60 for £35 each evening meal vouchers. We wasn’t told that drinks wasnt included. So we was £15 under on food costs abd had to pay £15 for drinks. Tried to complain about this but nothing got dealt with. We tried to cancel after being there an hour. But again nothing got dealt with. Very unhappy with stay, would not go back again

I booked a spa day weeks ago and received email confirmation to turn up and be told they can't find my booking on the system and dont try to rectify the situation at all. Im beyond disappointed as I used a day's holiday for this.

On arrival it appeared very muddled in terms of finding the accommodation reception. We found our way to the main house reception only to find there are two receptions. We were told to go to the second reception (a sport hall reception) checked in & them proceeded to walk back past the main house to our room.
The room although modern did appear tired. The shower lacked thorough cleaning, the shower riser was broken (I repaired it before taking a shower), the bathroom sink tap was not properly fixed the sink base. The bedside lighting was loose. Then we went back to the reception & asked about using the bar & restaurant in the main house we were told they were shut. We ended up having a snack in the sports hall reception area.

No hair dryer was available in the room. You have to ask reception if you need one. (It would have been nice to have been asked if we required one when we checked in)
Overall disappointing stay & highly unlikely we would return.

We had a lovely spa break. The hotel, room, spa, treatments, facilities and restaurant was all lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We booked at classic double. I think we would opt for the deluxe double next time as we have a small child but the room was lovely and definitely spacious. We didnt have a view but the room was so beautiful we didnt mind. Breakfast was perfect and you have lovely views. Everything tasted good and we liked the selection from the kitchen. We also used the swimming pool which I would highly recommend!!

The staff were very pleasant and super helpful. Everyone greeted us with a smile and answered all our questions.

The location is ideal for touring the local area. The hotel's atmosphere is friendly and professional. The rooms were lovely. Cleanliness couldn't be faulted. There was no noise to spoil our stay. The staff services were excellent throughout the hotel. The restaurant meals were high quality- we had breakfasts and evening dinners. The Spa facilities were really good; I had a hot stones treatment from Leah which got rid of all my stress. Thank you to everyone's hard work for making it a memorable break for us.

A Lovely Spa Hotel To Visit Set In Shropshire And If You Enjoy Golf This Is The Golf Resort To Stay at , We Enjoy The Hotels Relaxed Atmosphere And Lovely 1779 Restaurant and Quality Of the Food, The Staff Cannot Do Enough For You They Are Pleasant And Helpful Our Room Was Spotless and Roomy And Had An Excellent Extra Large King Size Bed With Quality Bed Linen and The Biggest Pillows We Have Seen , The Bathroom was Well Appointed With Quality Body wash /shampoo and Hand Wash and Soft Towels, We enjoy using The Large Swimming Pool and Relaxing around the Pool on The Loungers , This Is A great Hotel To Stop At And I would Recommend it To anyone, Just Look It Up on Line For A Full List Of All The Facilaties

Stayed for one night for a short getaway.

The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and generally as expected. Our stay included both dinner and breakfast. Dinner was good quality with a nice range of options. Breakfast was a bit more mixed—cooked items had to be ordered separately, and mine wasn’t great. The bacon was undercooked and very fatty (my fault for not asking for it well‑done), and the fried bread was extremely oily. Aside from that, everything else was fine, just not a particularly large breakfast.

My main issue was the noise from the corridor.

Our room was right next to a fire door, and every time someone walked through it, the door slammed shut. This went on until around 1am and started again at about 6am, so we were woken up several times. It’s a shame, as most hotels manage to have quieter door mechanisms.

Facilities were good overall.

We used the pool and steam room, which were enjoyable. My wife hoped to book some treatments, but unfortunately nothing was available until the day after we were due to leave, so that didn’t work out.

Overall:
We would stay again, but we’d definitely request a room away from the fire doors, be more specific with breakfast orders, and book any treatments well in advance.

This place is now in desperate need of an upgrade. Have stayed here numerous times over the past 12 years for business. As a lone traveller, I prefer to eat in my room, but they no longer offer room service breakfast and the daytime/ evening menu is VERY restricted.
The beds are wonderful and I always sleep well, but decor is dated and carpets, pouffe & armchairs are stained. The bathrooms have certainly seen better days too.

Spent two nights here over new year.The room was ok but the bar area has very small.The two meals we had were ok on both nights.The bar has not open on new years eve so we had to go back to our room to talk.

Our first time at this hotel. I booked a spa package as a gift to my husband, which included a superior room, use of the spa, dinner, breakfast and a 50 minute treatment each. We opted for a back massage and facial. Our room was clean, comfortable and I really enjoyed the coffee machine in the room. It had very scenic views too. The pool, steam room and sauna were great. Our treatments were amazing - we felt so relaxed after. I enjoyed some expertly made cocktails in the bar before dinner, followed by some tasty food. After a good night's sleep, we enjoyed breakfast and used the pool again before checking out. The best thing about this hotel are the employees. We had a lovely welcome by Charmaine on reception. All the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We had such a relaxing time here and looking forward to another visit in the near future.

Great Hotel, Fast, friendly & Efficient staff making my overall stay as excellent as usual. The only downside was the lack of parking in the morning but it's because it was busy and a golf course, Spa & Gym but not a lot they can do.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Spar treatment received was fantastic, and the treatment rooms were stylish, clean and relaxing. My hotel room was spacious, with a cosy atmosphere, plenty of storage, lots of amenities and it was nice to have an iron with ironing board, which is usually absent from most establishments I have stayed at. The dining here is excellent, good menu and it was nice to have a flavoursome meal that was piping hot. Unfortunately didn’t have the opportunity to sample the cooked breakfast the next morning, it’s a shame because I was looking forward to it, just to see if it was off the same high standard of the evening meal. Due to adverse weather snow storm conditions, resulting in a full power cut, I had to vacate the premises early. The staff were apologetic and professional regarding a dire situation, and I would like to thank staff member Lindsey, who personally arranged transportation to get me home. Her manner was friendly, positive and calming, she is a real credit to Telford Hotel.

It is an amazing hotel. Everyone that i have spoken ti that works there are very professional. The front actually take their time to speak to their guests. The waiters and waitress are very polite. I have stayed in it throughout 2025 when I am working in Telford. The cleaners do clean the rooms well and always very presentable. I will continue to stay in there for as long as the company that I do work for allows it. Thanks again

Booked direct with hotel in October 2025: 4 rooms for family of adults for two nights. Good initial experience with Luke (member of staff) on the phone.
Poor experience with communication following this. Difficulty contacting the hotel directly. Emailed Qhotels as suggested. One question out of three answered. Delay in answering meant that cost of meal offer had increased.
On arrival, we were met with a treacherous route of ice and snow from the car park to Reception which had not been cleared adequately. Spa booking made directly with Spa, when at the hotel, was denied by Spa, but had been organised through Reception the day before! Appointment squeezed in following intervention by receptionist. Unenthusiastic Spa reception team am 12th January.
General feel of disinterest among many staff in the hotel with the exception of staff serving meals and Charmaine on Reception when dealing with some concerns. The problems with communication in the hotel had continued during our stay.
Change of staff and some facilities closed early due to Staff Party on 10th January, but the relief team from Scunthorpe were very good.
Any issues were registered with staff at the time.

I have had a good relaxing day .
I must give a honest review based on what I seen and heard today .
I must say im not sure what the cleaners actually do to clean but I found the steam room had a weird smell too it like old musty smell , also has black gooey mold just under the lip of the seat made me feel yukky when its transfered on my fingers .
if they was wiped down and cleaned properly every night or even once a week that amount of mold would not have been accumulated so tells me not cleaned daily or weekly . I was lieing on the hot bed looked over at the other empty hotbed to see the side of the hot beds where filthy did not look clean, however on a plus note the beds was lovely and hot !

Pool was very cold would of expected at least Luke warm water as its winter , No shower gel in changing rooms i also over heard people saying the same thing about shower gel not being changed for 2 days 🤔 aswell as the cleanliness of the place 2 men was complaining about a female cleaner just walking in when there in the buff, no word of warning, how uncomfortable they must feel.
For the price you pay for a spa day or to use spa facilities on a regular basis, you would expect a good standard amount of cleanliness as well as regular checks on the shower gels . Maybe a change of cleaners are needed ? Possibly a male cleaner for the mens changing room female cleaner for womans ? Something has to give half of these reviews are abour poor cleanliness have been for a while nothing seems to be any better from todays visit sorry .

Perfect base for the eighteen of us to tour from .Nice comfortable hotel with swimming pool (essential for the kids )-golf course and provided a great breakfast.We chose not to eat there as discovered some amazing pubs on our walks down the river seven to the Iron Bridge eating at the Woodbridge (5 mins drive away from hotel ) and The Brewery inn Coalport .The service ambience beer was excellent and the food very good at The Woodbridge a very large pub which had amazing views from the garden which would be special in the summer. The Brewery inn was everything we wanted - a little gem !We parked in the car park free as long as we had a drink on the way back-from our 1hr + walk to the iron bridge Wow what a place - fab makeover-trendy -incredible service fab food and drink .
