Convenient location in beautiful surroundings. Friendly and helpful staff.

Electrical quirk in bedroom meant switching on the bathroom light also turned on two bright ceiling lights in the bedroom area - not helpful to disturb the other occupant in the room when using the bathroom during the night. Also, one of the bedside lights only worked if a weight was placed on one side of the glass shade, to make a loose electrical contact.
Comfy room, friendly staff, free parking
No option for hot breakfast, church bell goes off every 15 minutes through the night which disturbed our sleep but appreciate this is not to do with the hotel, lights beside bed were too close to head placement for sleeping.

The restaurant menu was a little limited but we found something that suited us.

Good location, easy parking
Neglect. The bathroom had electrical connections held together with tape. The room was dirty, splashes of something down the bathroom wall. 2 broken light fittings, all the furniture was chipped, the bath side was rotting away. The bedroom window wouldn’t shut and was held together with tape. The dining room carpet was badly stained. The “continental” breakfast was a supermarket antipasto with rock hard pastries.
I expected a British breakfast, not a continental one.

No extraction in the bathroom so walls had black mouldy grout.

No hooks for coats and only 2 cloths hangers in wardrobe.

The member of staff who greeted us was pleasant and breakfast was good, but, thats all the positive comments we can make.
The room was dirty, the shower head on the riser rail was broken and we were unable to use the shower and the wall light falling off the wall. Before someone posts a response about reporting it, the cleaner must have known about the brakes, or, they didn't clean the room. Also the net curtains had mildew on them. This is basics of being in the hotel trade, to check everything is working, not rely on guests to tell you, when things have clearly been broken for a while.
