Pros:

The staff at reception and those serving lunch and drinks round the pool were very pleasant.

Cons:

My wife and I were in a studio apartment on the first floor. Please note there are a quite few steps to negotiate with luggage as there is no lift. That was the least of our problems though. We had a very old and rundown room. There was rust on the shower handle and all round the sink. As other reviewers have commented, the shower water was never warm.

The rooms were very clean. All the amenities worked well for the most part. The pool was great. Breakfast was tasty. The customer service was great. Onsite free parking. Compound was secured. Check in and out was smooth.

Cons:

Although parking was free it was a little tight. The corridor to our room needs an update. There were two instances where there wasn’t any water but the situation was rectified asap. The water cooler states no filling of bottles allowed but who walks around with cups especially if you’re on the go daily however, we fill our bottles regardless and the staff didnt bother us. On the first day there was no water for 2hrs and the water cooler was empty, i thought we should have gotten complimentary bottle water but we had to buy them.

Hot water was tepid, television didn’t work and there was no lift we had to carry heavy luggage upstairs

Breakfast was excellent good value for money but took 45 minutes to arrive

Cons:

We only stayed one night but were given a room above the kitchen looking out onto a roof.
It was spotless but noisy in the morning.
There’s no lift so had to carry heavy cases upstairs

Very deceiving pictures of the hotel
It's an ancient hotel, the rooms & bathroom need renovations. The view from our window was the roof, which had debris on it, & the bathroom window was rusted & couldn't be opened. I booked it because it said hotel transfers. We were way overcharged at the airport by $50 + tip. Be careful when you walk at night. The sidewalks are uneven & many potholes

Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff. Bit dated and could use some repairs. So convenient for shopping, beach, transit and a lot of restaurant options close by. Only disappointment was their catering order was more important than getting breakfast served in a timely manner for their paying guests. I would recommend if your stay is not to spend in hotel but enjoy where you are.
