The staff were nice and also the facilities like swimming pool.
I paid for a family room but was a normal double room with 2 mattresses on the floor, not enough space to move around especially 4 people, 2 adults and 2 children.
Ver good
Rooms were not nicely cleaned on daily basis
Crazy only having one lift
We like Village hotel because we both athletes and gym quality, Spa, good food 👌
All good no complaints 👌
Modern large clean hotel all over. Room 305 spacious bathroom modern and nice look.
The staff were kind to place some birthday balloons in the room as it was my wife’s birthday.
The pub & grill did not have the drinks my son wanted Au Blue raspberry Vodka.
Locatie
Dame aan de receptie was niet aardig en er werd niet gezegd dat er geen airco was, terwijl dat de voornaamste reden was om te boeken
Proximity to Bournemouth hospital
The lighting in the bedroom was abysmal.
Breakfast could have been better.
Location, staff, comfortable bed.
Poor lighting. Had to rely on bedside lamps. Wife could not see to prepare makeup properly. No fridge to place cold drinks we had bought along (orange juice, water etc). No instructions for the coffee machine (wasted pods and had to look up instructions online). Relying on bots for simple queries (took half an hour for human to reply re lighting issues).
I organised a celebration of life event for my father on 3rd August. The organiser Hollie informed me she was on A/L the week prior to the event but someone would contact me to check if there would be any other requirements etc. I waited until the Friday but nobody contacted me & I attempted numerous times on the Friday to contact someone. I was put through from the central number but then was constantly put on hold. Five hours I attempted to contact people but always on hold until in desperation I contacted the hotel reception. The first time I was put through to the same department where I was put on hold again. I then re phoned reception & asked them to take a message & regarding my requirements & could someone contact me. I eventually got a call Monday morning (20 minutes before leaving to go to my father’s funeral ).
On visiting the hotel afterwards for the event - there were no signs to say where to go & people were sent upstairs to an empty room when in fact it was downstairs.
Still I’ll let that one go - I ordered a bottle of wine which they needed to get from another bar. 10 mins later she came back but then had to go away again to find the price!
We also wanted a zero alcohol drink which had to be bought from the other bar!
The person behind me wanted a pint of lager! The barrel needed changing.
Going to pay - no money except 20 pence pieces!
By now the queue for the private bar which I had requested was out of the room & people just went to the front bar.
I would not recommend having a private function here as they were clearly prepared & an event like a family funeral you do not need extra stress on that day.
I expected someone to contact me afterwards to ask if everything was satisfactory but there has been no contact from them
Love this hotel great location for us when visiting friends nearby. Rooms very spacious and beds comfy all that you could want in a hotel .The leisure centre is great lovely swimming pool which we used whilst there all in all a great stay.
