Great location for everything. Regular bus service, shops and activities. Hotel is very clean, the housekeepers are exceptionsl, great food, helpful staff and a lovely pool area.
Das Zimmer mit Blick aufs Meer
Liegt direkt an einem Padel Tennis Platz. Von 07.00 - 23.00 Uhr ununterbrochen dieser Lärm. Ein Grund diese Hotel nicht mehr zu buchen
Great hotel, very clean, no problem getting sun beds, breakfast had everything you could ask for. Pool towels provided. Would highly recommend. Across the road 3 restaurants that were very good. Bus stop outside hotel nos 1 & 2 takes you to Funchal only 2euro 5 cents- really lovely relaxing holiday.
we could not fault this hotel
rooms were good the hotel staff friendly breakfast excellent with lots of choice and everywhere really clean the decor is quality flowers in the reception area were amazing I have stayed in a few 4* hotels this one has got to be the best more like a 4*+ or a 5*
Lovely hotel, amazing from the moment you step through the doors..rooms were Lovely, bed was massive.
Facilities were good, food was tasty, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, hot foods and breads, eggs, sausages, pancakes, crepes, etc for breakfast.
Storage for your luggage when you have a late transfer too.
Could not find fault.
Area was quite too. Nice walk from there to Funchal.
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is perfect — just far enough outside the busy centre to feel peaceful, but still only a short walk from the main town. It really gives you the best of both worlds.
The staff are incredible, especially Valerie, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after throughout our stay. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The entertainment is very smooth with a lot of good artists performing of an evening.. our Fave was Hot Cross Buns and the Local dancing troupe who offered something different and exciting
A huge plus for our family was the gluten‑free breakfast options, which made mornings so much easier and stress‑free. It’s rare to find a hotel that caters so thoughtfully for dietary needs.
Highly recommended — we’d happily stay again.
Nice hotel within easy access of the city centre. Nicely decorated throughout with clean ,comfortable rooms. The staff are generally friendly and professional and the communal areas very pleasant inside and out.
The evening entertainment is of a good standard and this hotel is ideal for families and couples alike. We will most certainly look at staying here again .
A very nice hotel with a nice reception, they will give you to try Madeira's wine when you check in, clean room, clean pool, nice view, everybody is helpful and friendly, the breakfast was delicious. I recommend this place, i can't wait to come back to Madeira 👌🌞
We normally book middle of the road hotels so were pleasantly surprised at how swanky this place was. The decor in the communal areas was lovely, I've never seen so many different types of seating options. Lots of spectacular views. (Except from our room which was a "mountain view" but we live and learn - it did mean we could monitor the busyness of the various restaurants over the road). There were extra touches for the flower festival which runs throughout May. Breakfast was good, lots of variety and relaxed, no sense that they'd run out of options if you didn't turn up early. The pools were good. A bit cold for my liking and my 10 year old wished they were deeper! We also played snooker, and used the garage for several days. Didn't eat in the restaurants.y only gripe would be there's sometimes a long wait for the lifts. Fab hotel and loved Madeira
My fiancé and I stayed here for 7 nights and had a mixed experience.
The hotel itself is spotless and the rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard. The view from our room of the sea was outstanding.
On the negative side you have to pay for everything else - such as bath robes, room safe etc. We were even quoted 180 euros to be allowed to use another room to be able to shower and change for 5 hours - which I think was wildly excessive.
Spacious hotel, wonderful decor in reception and throughout the hotel.
Good selection for breakfast. Views of both the sea and local area from the terrace.
Nothing.
Gorgeous hotel in a great location. No idea why this isn't rated 5*. Staff excellent offering 5* service.
Rooms are large, lovely bathroom with walk in shower, balcony. Whole hotel is spotless. Bar area good, drinks served to your table. Reception and lobby beautiful with gorgeous marble flooring. A wide variety of seats outside, all different and interesting styles.
Only minor gripes were the beds were a little hard, the pillows lumpy, and the towels provided in the bathroom are very small, but everything else was perfect.
30 minutes slow walk into town, but plenty of restaurants nearby. Seaview room is a must, as is dining in the hotel Italian sal restaurant, possibly the best food I've ever had!
(Beef fillet madeira style)
Pool area great, no sunbeds reserved and always available.
Would absolutely recommend this hotel.
Substantial Breakfast included
The sauna needed a reservation
