Good location for surrounding activities. Helpful staff. Pool was nice.
Room lacked some amenities like hair dryer, window was fogged out due to thermal glass seal being broken, and mini fridge freezer needed defrosting really bad. Hot tub jets were pitiful.
The location is great for Blowing Rock, the property (land, vegetation, lake etc) is very nice, but the hotel facilities are dated, no noise insulation. We paid for a lake view and specified not on the 1st floor and you see the lake but with a pretty large view of the parking lot, 2nd and 3rd floor might be slightly better, but 2nd floor rooms have not been updated. I was offered the 2nd floor for the next day but had already settled in. We did see deer in the property and the kids really enjoyed that, but that's not exclusive to the resort.
Hotel is dated, room lights are white not helping the cozy ambiance you would expect, no noise insulation, lake view I paid for is ruined by the parking lot.
The breakfast was good. The dinner menu was not great. There needs to be more options for sandwiches or burgers.
The bar area was good but not the best service.

I called the same morning of our stay to make a dinner reservation. I spoke to a lady on the phone, and she confirmed my reservation for 6:30. I asked if she would text me a confirmation and she said yes, around 10:30 I had not received the text so before we left home (Greensboro) I called again and another lady answered. I said I had not received confirmation, she said she was the manager and the restaurant would be closed that evening. Naturally I was confused and asked how I could have spoken with an employee 1.5 hours earlier and made a reservation. She said she did not know and apologized. She told me however the bar would be open and they would be serving pub food. My wife and I walked down around 7:00 and there was a lady in the bar, we asked for a few drinks and menus. She said she was the only person working and the kitchen was closed. This was a comedy of errors on your part and I shared this with the front desk with nothing being offered. We have stayed here many times over the years and nothing like this has ever happened. Not a good look for your fine property. Robert
The AC on the room can’t go below 67°. The pool was not warm.
Excellent location for our reunion. Room was lovely. Large, comfortable, nice bathroom, friendly staff.
