Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport Hotel

So I was going to stay one night with a late check out the next day. Instead I extended my stay one more day.

I was told that I could get my €30 Euro back that I paid for the late checkout.

I was upgraded the first night and was told my upgrade would be continued so no change of room.

When I went to get my fee back the manager said they were going to keep it as I’d saved money on an upgrade.

Which is crazy.

You can’t give someone an upgrade and then keep the money paid for an entirely unrelated unused service that they promised to return if I extended my stay and no longer needed it.

I was told I’d have the upgrade AND get my fee back as I was extending my stay.

Then the manager tried to get me to name the concierge that told me this, which is BS as he is the one in charge of making this final decision and throwing someone else under the bus for bad management is a coward’s way out.

He said I should be happy as I saved €60 on the upgrade - but that’s with their pricing not bookings (which is 40% cheaper) and ignores the fact they kept my late checkout fee for a day I was actually paying to stay in the hotel.

I saved nothing and barely broke even with them keeping my fee.

I used to love this place as I travel often through Dublin with overnight layovers - but this is sh*t.

Attended a training meeting meeting in the Collinstown Suite at the Carlton Dublin Airport this morning. Nice hotel with plenty of parking and very well maintained facilities. Had a meal here once and it was excellent. The Christmas decorations are lovely.

This is a nice hotel , convenient to the airport and with good carpeting, water bottles, and a good bed. It felt spacious. The room was a bit cold, so a space heater was provided. Lighting was poor. The shuttle to the airport was not so good. Passengers were expected to load and unload their luggage, which is difficult to impossible for shorter, weaker, and elderly passengers. The first people to run to the van monopolize the lower storage area, leaving the top for everyone else. Also, the hotel seemed obsessed with nickel and diming their customers. Despite the high cost of staying there, extra fees were charged for storing luggage briefly or earlier check-ins. The hotel restaurant was very good.

Our room was clean and comfortable. Hotel restaurant served good food and had a full bar. We met a young man tending bar who was very friendly & easy to chat with. Friendly front desk staff. Good WiFi. VERY convenient airport shuttle picks you up at the hotel front door & drops you at either Terminal 1 or 2 at Dublin Airport. Driver was very friendly, kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Good location right beside airport, with free shuttle bus, super place to stay if you have an early flight next day, great breakfast choice, and very reasonable parking charge.

Booked due to it's close proximity to airport. Had a late night flight in and an early morning one back home. Tried to call multiple times to let them know about needing late night check in and shuttle service. No one picked up. Had to pay for a cab. Got there and the woman at the desk was beyond rude. She got attitude with me about not calling ahead. When I told her I had multiple times she questioned that until I offered to show my call lig. Then she tells me they have no room and they are shipping me off to another hotel 25 miles away. She was awful and acted like she was doing me a favor

Very close to airport. Hotel service was great food was good. The doors slam when people leave their rooms and it is noisy. If you could fix that I would give your hotel a five star review.

It was very nice and clean, the food in the bar area was very good. The staff was extremely kind and thoughtful and knowledgeable. We wish it was a little closer to the downtown area, but that was fine. We were able to take the bus and Uber to get around. We will definitely stay here again

Back staying in the Carlton Hotel after COVID, excellent service throughout and wonderful stay.

A wonderful way to wind down our trip to Ireland… Very convenient for our early morning flight, with a timely and friendly shuttle service to the airport.
The property itself was also very nice & more upscale than I’d imagined…fantastic rooms and the views/meals/drinks at Runway 28 were stellar, thanks in large part to Sagar, our friendly & attentive server!
It’s always bittersweet to bring a vacation to a close, but doing so here at The Carlton made it a much more pleasant experience!

Great value hotel with a short ride into town via cab. The hotel was clean and the restaurant was definitely the pleasant surprise. They make the best seafood chowder that Ive ever had. The rooftop lounge is very nice as well.

First time back to the Carlton Hotel in Dublin Airport since COVID! Have to compliment the management team of Declan Meaghet and Seamús O’Neill for maintaining excellent service throughout the hotel!
Had a lovely time in Kittyhawkes and our server Jennifer was a delight! The food was exceptional as well as the service!
The next day have to compliment the wonderful breakfast chef for making such beautiful Porridge! It tasted heavenly! He’s a credit to the Carlton Hotel and to the hospitality industry!
I would definitely be back and I would definitely recommend this place for all your accommodation needs!

Absolutely perfect! Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The food was wonderful.

I had to choose an Airport Hotel in Dublin very quickly as my flight had been cancelled.
So happy I chose the Carlton
My room was a suite on the top floor and it was very spacious and comfortable as I ended up having to spend an extra day in beautiful Ireland.
Would highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay close and take the shuttle to the airport.
Also took a cab back into the city centre which was very convenient.

After hours of traveling, we finally got to the hotel about 3:45AM. Check-in was so fast, and the girl was extremely friendly. We got to our room and shock came over our faces. This room was BEAUTIFUL! Roomy, comfortable, just beautiful! The bed was AMAZING! Stinks we were literally only there for like 5 hours, maybe. Long enough for a 2 hour nap and shower.
The shuttle driver, Matthew, was so nice and told us exactly where yo go for our flight.

Lovely decor in rooms, very comfortable and good facilities, however purpose of stay was due to getting an early morning flight, given this is an airport hotel however a party was being held in the floor above with loud music until 1am so not value for money if you are using the hotel to get a night’s sleep ahead of an early flight!
