I stayed at this hotel with my daughter while visiting UT from NH. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with kindness and warmth. Once Chris at the front desk found out we were there to tour UT, he went above and beyond to share about the area and the school. The next morning we were greeting by another amazing employee, Ebony. I loved talking to her about Knoxville, UT and restaurants in the area. I work in HR and these employees are 10 stars out of 5. They made me feel like a special guest even though I'm sure hundreds of guests walk through the doors.
Once my daughter was accepted into UT, I went right online to book my stay!! I can't wait to see Chris and Ebony again.
The breakfast choices were great and the whole facility is so clean (rooms, foyer, etc). You can tell that all of the employees take pride in the hotel and make sure that every guest has a great experience.

Chris at the Hampton Inn & Suites Knoxville-Downtown was great. He was very polite, accommodating and sympathetic to our not so great stay at the Hampton Inn in KY.
The rooms were clean, did have a weird smell in the room, but we got over that. The beds were alright. The location was great. Not too far off the interstate that you can't get back on in a hurry. The water pressure was great also.
Breakfast was good also.
Would recommend and stay here again.
Noise level as long as we had the fan on we didnt hear much noise. The value, pretty good but sucked that we had to pay 30.00 to park. After driving all day and not getting in till 6:30 pm & left at 9am.
Stayed two nights. Rooms and toilets are clean and the beds are comfortable. Had a good rest. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and provided great service. Kudos to Chris who was on shift for the days we were around.
The staff are very friendly! They are always making sure you're having a good time. Chris was especially helpful as he gave us a list of attractions and places to eat. It's a great place!

What a lovely hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and in good repair. At check-in Chris was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast attendant, Darla, was friendly and so helpful. The breakfast area was clean and food kept fresh. What a lovely, relaxing experience.

The noise from street and from pets staying at the hotel was not ideal. They give you ear plugs which gives you an idea of the ongoing issue. Parking charge is high for the location as well.
Wow. Staff at Main Street Hampton Inn saved the day, and the night! We were stranded on I-40 at 11 pm on 5/15, in dire need of shelter and a solid repair service. It’s UT graduation weekend, so this hotel was jammed. Night staff was wonderful! Not only found room for us, but upon our arrival, had compiled a list of contacts for repairs.
No luck with those vendors, so Reed came to our rescue (with assistance from David), helping with the car, taking to a shop, once we found the right place, courtesy of amazing Ebony! And had a road side service curtesy of Jeremy! (More about him in a sec).
Yes, hotel was full, clean and welcoming, all you would hope for in a Hilton brand, but staff was incredible, going the extra mile with a smile, even though their plates were already overflowing. The team takes on the personality of the coach. Clearly, Jeremy has set the tone for exceptional hospitality and his teamwork is dream work.
