Front Desk Staff was excellent. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Room looked exactly as advertised on Booking. Our suite was very clean and spacious. Comfy beds! Decent Breakfast.
Nothing with the property, but there was loud traffic that kept waking us up - very loud motorcycles going around the block at night.
I really appreciate Chris Burton for going the extra mile and providing good service to me and my family.
Location, staff were all very helpful
Pool was down
Everything was phenomenal. Outstanding staff all around and the room was excellent.
Only bad thing was the traffic noise in the king suite. Nothing the hotel itself done though and it wouldn’t keep us from staying again!
Location
When we walked in the room the smell of urine was really bad that we had to spray our own perfume to be able and cover it up.
Bathroom spotless
Floors both carpet and tile-spotless
Location great walking easy except for the heat
Breakfast was just average though
Staff excellent and smiling
Room had additional seating
Has some covered parking
No fan in bathroom
Room was clean and comfortable. Nice view and great staff that were very friendly and nice. Well taken care of, greeted when coming in the lobby and down the next morning.
Didn't like that the poll was down and was never told that it would be down, till we got there.
This hotel is close to everything in downtown especially night life.
There was no pool and it was not on posting. Front desk did comp my parking.
Parking fee was not listed on booking app.
Very welcoming.
Chris was very cool.
Great value and quality for the location near downtown
Our stay here was definitely a success great atmosphere and experience staff is very welcoming and friendly especially Chris! would definitely recommend to anyone coming to knoxville!
Room was very clean. Loved it
We were on the third floor and the street noise was something I have never experienced before. It was very loud . Even with the noise machine and ear plugs
Ebony behind reception was amazing. Forty!
No water in pool
Very welcoming. Chris was very accommodating despite my wild little ones hanging off my legs. Rooms are clean and the location is very efficient. Want to point out again how accommodating Chris was, I’ve been to a quite a few establishments and his customer service skills rival that of 5-Star Hotels. Thank you.
As a frequent traveler, I tend to take in the sights of a new city and experience the local vibe. Sometimes its great, sometimes I'm not as lucky, but my hotel stay rarely plays a part in my enjoyment of the area. The Hampton Inn Downtown Knoxville was a complete exception. We were greeted by Ebony, a rare jewel, who bent over backwards to make sure we had a great stay and took time to advise us on our trip itinerary. The rooms were clean and comfy and the amenities were above expectation, but the friendliness of the staff and location of the hotel made it feel more like a breathing part of the Knoxville experience. (As a CATS fan I wasn't expecting mutch, but I actually loved the city!!! Hats off to Knoxville) We would book here again without question.
Chris went above and beyond to make our trip memorable and special! We had never been to Knoxville before and Chris gave us many tips as to places to go see and also food to eat! We have become a Knoxville lover and will be loyal to this particular hotel as well, in the future, as we love to travel! Five stars and a shoutout to Chris!
The street noise at this hotel is outrageous! I travel a lot, and this is by far the most street noise I have ever experienced in a hotel. We were on the third floor and we might as well have been sleeping in the middle of the busy street that the room faced. I'm not talking a humming street noise. I'm talking individual cars revving their engines, loud trucks, etc. I had to sleep with earplugs and noise canceling headphones playing white noise to block it out. Other problems - I checked into one room online and upon arrival we were given a different room, which faced the street and was right outside the elevator and ice machine (never heard the elevator or ice machine over the street noise). It was red flag when they left ear plugs and a white noise machine on the nightstand. The room smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals when we checked in, the phone didn't work, the white noise machine didn't work, one of the queen beds squeaked every time you moved, one of the outlet plates in the bathroom had clearly been moved and there was only wall behind it. You could see where it used to be, where the drywall had been patched and there was only wall behind the new spot. Well, I tried to call the desk to change rooms, but the phone didn't work so I had to go back down to the desk. I was told that the room type I booked was fully sold out and that while they had a different room available, they couldn't move us to a different room type because I booked under room block for an event. The next day they offered to send maintenance, but to do what, I don't know. We were checking out early the next morning, so we just dealt with it. Never stay at this hotel unless you can fall asleep and stay asleep through extremely loud noise!
The only things that were ok at this hotel were that there was good water pressure and the room seemed clean.
We stayed one night, June 18, 2026. The woman at check in, approx 4pm, was not front desk in personality. She was a person of few words. When asked questions, she simply did not know. The room was nice and clean, which is most important at a hotel. The breakfast likely would have been nice had it been warm, the coffee was drinkable. We were only driving through. If we visit Knoxville in the future we will seek out other accommodation.
