Beautiful view
Pros:

Hotel is built on top of the mountain and it has exceptional views of the mountains and valleys. Landscaping around the hotel was basic. Elevators are functional and breakfast buffet was good.
Rooms are dated, cooling was bellow average, bathroom had sewer odor due to screwed in clean out ports. No outlets for recharge devices so I had to use bathroom plug. Bathroom had 110 and 220 outlets which was a plus.
Balcony had beautiful views if you don’t mind few mosquitoes.

Nice 4 day break in the sun
Pros:

I thought the food choices were great although the food wasnt hot - it was warm at best. Plenty of foods to choose from at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sunbeds are past their best and most beed replacing. The air con is pretty much terrible. I have to be honest, if you are a hot person, you'll struggle. I had to drag my bed under the fan/AC to try and get some sleep. Hotel spotlessly clean and i thought drinks were good price. It is 20 minute walk to newrest anything so a car would be advantageous. Staff friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Lovely pool and grounds, poor air con
Pros:

We stayed for 4 nights with our one year old. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the pool area is great. Hotel is clean and modern and our room was surprisingly huge. The room had a mini fridge great for keeping milk cool. We opted for breakfast only which was good lots of fresh pastries, eggs, juice and good coffee. Cocktails at the hotel are overpriced, 9 euros for a plastic glass filled with ice and local spirits used. Beers and soft drinks were reasonable. Bar tender was a little moody but reception staff are great. If you are staying here you probably want to rent a car as it is up a huge hill and shops and restaurants are not easily accessible. The big down side to our stay was the air con which was blowing out hot air and seemed to get gradually worse by the end of our stay so that the room was stuffy and uncomfortable. Not sure if the air con had broken when we looked out of the window the generator fans were not turned on, or if this is a money saving ploy from the hotel. If this is the case it is very poor for the guests! If we were staying any longer we would have had to complain

I wouldn’t visit again.
Pros:

This establishment does not meet the standards of a four-star hotel.

As a seasoned traveller with extensive experience in various countries and accommodations of different star ratings, I must express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay.

Despite being aware of the hotel’s location prior to booking, we made the prudent decision to rent a car. In my opinion, a car is an essential necessity to avoid being confined within the hotel’s premises.

Our room was outdated, lacked cleanliness, and featured an antiquated air conditioning system that proved to be utterly inadequate. The bathroom was particularly neglected, with painted-over tiles, a mouldy shower curtain, and a basic shower that was challenging to maintain the optimal temperature.

The reception area was plagued by an unpleasant odour emanating from the drains, and an overpowering air freshener was frequently sprayed throughout the day to mask it.

The canteen, which serves as the hotel’s restaurant, exhibits varying quality standards. While the staff is diligent in maintaining cleanliness, they take customers’ plates while they are still dining. The food presentation is often lacking, and the dishes do not always appear appealing. The food labelling is severely limited, but the food is plentiful and replenished promptly. However, the quality of the food is not always consistent, as exemplified by the ribs and spouts combination. Additionally, the food is frequently served cold. No local delicacies to try here unfortunately.

I witnessed an instance where the chef, wearing gloves, cleaned spatulas at the cooked food trays after grilling pork without changing his gloves or washing hands. I reported this incident to the staff, but no action was taken.

Breakfast was my favourite meal of the day. The pastries, fruits, and eggs were delectable. However, if you are seeking sausage, you may be disappointed, as the hotel only offers hot dogs, don’t worry as spouts, and green beans are available for breakfast too.

Drinks in the restaurant are served on a self-service basis, and there is a coffee machine by the bar that produces acceptable-quality coffee.

The indoor pool is currently out of service, which was unfortunate, as it would have provided a welcome respite from the intense sun.

The pool area also features outdated sun loungers that are extremely uncomfortable and lack the option of mattresses, unlike other four-star hotels.
The animation team’s performance was subpar, lacking the professionalism of a children’s club. On our last day, a little effort was made to engage the children. The aqua gym was satisfactory, but the repetitive routine and same music became monotonous.
On one occasion, a bouncy castle slide was introduced into the deep end of the pool, too deep for most children.
The children’s mini disco consisted solely of music, without any attempt to encourage dancing or teach the children any dances. The entertainment options were limited to bingo, flamenco, and a musical quiz, which commenced after 10 pm.
During our stay, the room was not adequately cleaned. Despite the bins being emptied and fresh towels left, the bed remained unchanged.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. It offers poor value for money, the hotel is outdated, the food is mediocre, and the entertainment is extremely lacking.

Disappointing stay - not worth rating
Pros:

The pool is lovely and the gardens are well maintained, which are the only real positives. The room was acceptable, but I was disappointed to find someone else’s hair on the floor — a clear sign that it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly.

The food has been awful. Today’s selection included ribs, sprouts, and tinned carrots, along with a few basic options like spaghetti. The quality and variety are very poor. The hotel also advertises snacks for all-inclusive guests between 3pm and 7pm, but these were never available during our stay.

The hotel seems to prioritise Spanish guests — they were given preference when queuing and at meal times. It’s also worth noting that the location is very isolated. It’s a long drive from the airport, and there are no local shops or places to walk to nearby.

The whole place feels very tired and dated. The outdoor toilets were filthy, which added to the overall disappointment. Based on my experience, this hotel barely scrapes a 3-star rating. I even asked a Jet2 rep at the airport about the hotel, and he avoided answering directly — just said the area was lovely. That says a lot.

Pros:

Overall it was ok but attention to detail was lacking. The reception staff were nice but the restaurant staff were rude. The shower head in our bathroom was loose and fell on my daughter’s head. I asked for a kettle to be brought to the room twice and I was ignored. There were large hornet type insects on the window above some tables in the breakfast room. Paint was peeling off the bottom of the bathroom door. The pool was lovely but the sun loungers were covered in leaves and some had bird muck on them and had to be brushed off before use. I would not go back unless I had no choice.

Mixed bag.
Pros:

This hotel has lovely staff and the gardens are beautiful. It’s a real mixed bag! The pool does not open until 11 and is spoilt by the amount of rubbish and leaves floating in it. We did mention this during our stay but despite the managers assurances it remained very dirty. Most of the sun beds are covered in bird poo. I told the lifeguard and he told me to go get a cloth from reception. The rooms are very clean and the house keeping staff lovely but updating is needed. On the weekend a crowd of local children arrived and there was lots of loud screaming not helped by the animation team playing VERY loud music and darts right by the pool. With so much space I’m not sure why they would play darts with sun beds in the back ground. You defiantly need a car unless you are happy to walk to the main road which is about 20 mins downhill. There is a nice restaurant near by called Ramos. The views from the restaurant are wonderful and lots of choice at breakfast.
The hotel needs work to have a four star rating.

Pros:

What a shame
Pros:

The staff are lovely and the rooms comfortable but that is all I can say. There is no sound proofing and you can hear every squeak, cough and sneeze from your neighbours above, below and beside you. No peace or relaxation. The food is below par. Limited choice and often cold. On our last night 3 coaches of children were delivered with no effort made to accommodate anyone needing some quiet time. We have had to book another hotel for our last night as the noise is unbearable

Wonderful hotel
Pros:

This is a wonderful hotel.
Very helpful kind friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble.
Fantastic breakfast in Breakfast Hall.
There is EVERYTHING there could possibly be.👌🏻

Very clean hotel, excellent room.
Clean throughout.
Daily service from Maid is great. Thankyou.

This hotel is NOT situated next to any shops, bars, restaurants...... Be aware.

Not suitable for people with disabilities nor walking issues.

It is placed in a rural spot. Which is lovely if you wish to get away from it all.

Great for WALKERS, GOLFERS. (Near alot of golfing complexes). Not the infirm.

If you are able bodied you can easily get taxis to go out or walk to a nearby bus stop . ...you need to walk to main road.

Had a great stay there.
The Animation Team work hard at night in the Lounge for the patrons. Well done.

Great value for money
Pros:

This hotel is central between Marbella and Estapona - ideally you need to hire a car/bike to get around. The hotel does a really cheap deal with a local company who deliver/collect from the hotel. We ordered one the day before, they arrives at 7.30am the next day (our choice by the way) and by 8am we were on the road! Only 15 euros/day for full insurance. Staff were really, really helpful. We only went for the b and b option but the choice was huge - hot food (not always hot but pop in the microwave and perfect), meats, cheeses, croissants, juices, hot drins, fruit, yoghurt etc etc etc - tonnes of choice. Pool was lovely, bar staff were great, as were waiting staff and cleaners. Ok so the floor wasn't swept every day but that's a small issue. Also there is a 3 euro charge/day for the safety deposit box but once we were settled in the hotel we left wallets, phones, passports, cash out in our room and there was never an issue here either. Great beds, you can ask for extra pillows. Currains nice and thick so dark at night. If youre on the swi.mming pool side of rhe hotel then there can be a vit of noise from the bat etc but in 14 nights we only heard it twice. If you want a quieter room then request one with a mountain view. It's not the most modern hotel but everything works eg lifts and there's plenty to do - table tennis, table football, pool, petanque ( all chargeable or deposit required but all dead cheap)
Great place to stay as long as you don't want to be right in the centre of all the 'action'.

Great family holiday
Pros:

We stayed here as a family of 3 at the end of August and I am so glad I choose to ignore some of the more recent reviews as we had a great stay.

we stayed all inclusive and found the food to be a very good standard, each day had a different theme as well as the usual kids and salad sections, drinks was good and available from 10 30 until around midnight. you could get beer, wine and soft drinks at the meal times but spirits and slashes from the bars. You could also get portions of crisps and olives from the bars which I believe was available all day.

check in was very quick, we was on the 2nd floor with the mountain view, the view was amazing and the room was clean and large, it was slightly dated in the main bedroom area but still nice enough. The balcony was a decent size but does only have 2 chairs when we had 3 people staying in the room.

Entertainment on the evening generally started at 10pm which was quite late for us so I can't comment on this. But there was day time entertainment around the pool which was good and they tried to get as many people involved as they could.

The pool was amazing, lovely and warm, a great size and there was zero rush for sunbeams in a morning, the pool opened at 10am there was never a queue it was a very relaxed atmosphere with the pool only feeling more full around 3pm in the afternoon. The pool bar only opens from 4pm until 7pm which I found very strange as I would expect this to be open from when the pool is open in peak season. There is an indoor pool this was closed and looked like it had been for some while, the jacuzzi on the pics online is also no longer there.

The only downside for us was location. The closest shop is on the Main Street which is a 25 min walk along a road with limited paths, we did this once with our 6 year old daughter but not again as it wasn't safe and was far to hot. We did taxi down a couple of times we was 6 euros each way. We also took a taxi to the beach we paid about 25 euros each way again not bad but not an amount we would want to spend each day going to the beach. The hotel no longer offers any kind of shuttle service.

Check out was easy and we found all staff to be helpful. I would recommend this hotel and would return despite the location if just for a relaxing week more hotel based.
