Old school charm and service, quality food, great location
Pros:

Great location in Lytham overlooking the beach. Room was comfortable, clean and reasonably well-equipped. Breakfast was divine and made to order - very flexible menu with no limits on ordering from different bits of the menu. Staff were all excellent - calm, helpful and professional. We were allowed to leave our car in the car park the next day while we went by bus to see Peter Kaye in Blackpool. We returned and had an evening meal in the restaurant, which was also very good, before heading home.

Cons:

It is an old hotel that has been extended many times - a rabbit warren of interlinking corridors and levels - I think we found three or four different routes between our room and reception! Parking was limited when we arrived (there was a wedding reception) but better the next day.

Lovely hotel, great position on the promenade. Lovely food

Stairs. More to climb than expected ( but the receptionist did ask if stairs were a problem when booking in to be fair)

Lovely clean place to stay, but would recommend a sea view room for fresh air.
Pros:

The decor and cleanliness of the room and whole hotel was perfect. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Location was also spot on for local amenities and pleasant walks.

Cons:

The room was on the inner part of the hotel with a window to a courtyard of some sort. Which meant it was a little stuffy, even with the window open. The courtyard area outside the window also seemed to be where pigeons congregated and kept us awake as we had to sleep with the window open, as with the window closed it was stifling. There also appeared to be some building work of some sort going on at the other side of the courtyard, we were rudely awoken with VERY loud continuous banging at 08.30am! Having not slept very well anyway, this was disappointing.

No lift to the 2nd floor room we was in, due to the orientation of the building

Lovely family room that had a separate bedroom for our third guest

The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Very well decorated with all the amenities we needed - even a separate bedroom for the number 3 in our party which was great

Cons:

We were a bit disappointed with the shower - it didn't really live up to expectations and it was difficult to stop the water from spraying the bathroom floor due to the shower glass not fully meeting the bath
